Which contestant has changed your opinion the most?
From the first auditions, I actually liked Christopher Maloney. I thought he was a sweet guy and deserved a break and wanted his nan to see him become a success. And in the live shows, I didn't have the typical DS vitriol for him, but I wanted him to be eliminated.
I couldn't stand James Arthur, and actually was annoyed that he was put into the final. But now I have a wee bit of a man-crush on him. I thought Triple J/Union J were a load of tosh, and thought it was ridiculous that they were put through ahead of Times Red. But Jaymi's vocals managed to convince me otherwise they were a better choice. So which X-Factor contestant did you go from love-hate or hate-love with? |

Lord Christopher.
Rylan Clark, OBE, also changed my mind. I didn't like him much, then learned to adore him

Rylan - couldn't stand him at first but grew to love him.
Also James Arthur - found him really depressing to start with. He's still not to my taste but I kind of recognise he's got something to offer to the the music industry. If I was voting tonight (which I'm not) I'd vote for James. |

Rylan and James.
I couldn't stand James, but now I realise what a great artist he is. Wish he'd lighten up a bit though. |

Rylan, I didn't like him at all at first, but I really warmed to him, and now I think he's lovely
![]() Chris, I have never liked, and the intensity of my dislike for him makes me want to shout at the telly (except it will wake the cat up) |

James, I wasn't too much of a fan at the start but he has really grown on me. I have actually bought some of his performances on iTunes.

Rylan for me too. I thought he was a bit of a prat to start with but over the weeks I grew to like him, both his performances and his general personality. He's a lovely, friendly bloke who knows what he is and doesn't take himself too seriously.

Rylan: In the beginning, I thought he was awful and had none of the redeeming qualities of the other "joke acts" (e.g. Jedward, Wagner, Johnny Robinson) had, but he turned out to be fine.
Union J: I thought they were just fodder, but they had something that 90s-sounding District3 did not. |

None if them changed my opinion, none of them have the x factor for me. And that included Ella, James was another glorified version of Aiden Grimshaw and still is.
Christopher was dated and still is. Jahmene was a nice kid and still is I liked Ella the person but she became boring and still is Whoever wins.....be it james he will become a shadow of his former self and syco will sweep any originality under the rug. If Jahmene wins, I have my doubts that he has the personality to carry on any kind of long lasting career |

James. I thought he was a bit over-rated at the beginning (still do actually), but at the end of the day, he is the only mildly "relevant" and "credible" contestant left standing in the final weeks.

Although I wasn't a massive fan of Lucy even at the end, I much preferred her compared to when her audition was aired. Mostly because of #Sprylan but I also thought her personality was awesome and she could really sing (proven at judges houses).
Going into the live shows I loved Union J and thought District3 couldn't sing in tune or harmonize or anything. As the weeks went on, I completely switched my opinion of them both, finding District3 having their own style, fun personalities and harmonizing super well. Union J went down in my estimations, found them fairly annoying by the time they were eliminated. |

The judging far more negative than ever before.
Tulisa was a real let down. Thought she would be a good judge but she was such a hypocrit and had a vindictive streak. So disappointing. Louis was a let down too. He seemed to be not very supportive of his bands this year. Didn't believe he meant it everytime he said "they are the next big boyband." Gary seemed the think he was in charge of how the public should vote. Hated the way he walked out after he didn't agree with the public vote. Nicole, didn't buy all those tears. Was so suprised and loved her beautiful singing in the duets. |

The Rylanator.
Should stand for parliament and liven the place up a bit. |

Rylan! I was completely against him to start with — especially when getting his spray tan moment, then I soon came to enjoy him so much so he's my Chosen One from this series. We'll know who he is and what he's doing in five or more years time when all the others have faded from memory and are given no air time.

Rylan completely won me over from an initial mild aversion, and from utter indifference I came to have a sneaking fondness for Christopher. I think only Ella went in the other direction, from benevolent indifference to vexation whenever she started to sing.
Was sold on Lucy from the start, and James Arthur has always been up there with Misha B as the most aggravating vocalists I've known. Doubtless they're not all that special, it's just that the format of the show resulted in my hearing them week after week whereas in the normal run of things if I detest someone's voice or performance style I'm unlikely to hear them again, unless once in a blue moon as background music when shopping where I can at least try to focus instead on leeks or olives or breakfast cereals

Union J - When they did Don't stop me Now, I thought they were going to be as crap as One Direction, then they let Jaymi sing more and then sounded much better, even the other guy. Josh? improved. They produced some pretty good performances towards the end.
They seem like nice guys too, I hope they get some decent songs and make a good album. |
