Need keyboard and mouse for smart TV

Some friends have a new Samsung ES5500 smart TV which can access the Internet but navigation is very hard using the supplied remote.

Would it be possible to use some sort of wireless keyboard and mouse with this TV and any recommendations?

Thanks

The manual available on the Samsung website suggests a USB or Bluetooth keyboard and mouse can be used with it.

Most keyboards and mice are pretty standard so shouldn't be too difficult to find something that will work I would think.

Thanks that's a good thought but it's hard to tell whether the particular model has Bluetooth

"The Bluetooth feature might not be
available depending on model."

I'll have to have an explore in the menus and look for the Bluetooth logo on the back

Just an idea, but you might find one of these useful

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Keysonic-ACK...5228960&sr=8-1

I use one with my PS3 and it's good. I couldn't absolutely guarantee it would work, but I think there's a good chance. You don't have to use a mouse then so it's much easier to use on your lap.

Hope this helps,
Ed

Yes, these are good. I picked up something very similar from AliExpress a few months ago.

Also you can buy remotes with built-in keyboard/mouse which have their advantages in some scenarios:

Thanks for all those suggestions. Still have to investigate the presence of Bluetooth but sounds like a wireless USB keyboard with trackball might well be the way to go
