Sorry Terry, you really must sort out your keyboard and composing skills!

You got your title completely wrong - again.

You wrote

Sir Bruce Was FABULOUS Again ! -- Dump The Auto Cue & Set Brucie Free ?

when you should have written

Dump Brucie & Set The Auto Cue Free !

If he has to explain why a line is funny, IT ISN'T FUNNY!”

I think Sir Bruces wife is from a different culture so there is bound to be some loss of humour in the translation to her culture, which is normal.

Well many from his own 'culture' as you put it still don't find his humour funny, no explaining that away.

It's been years since I can bear to listen to Bruce. Car crash TV - so embarrassing. I never watch it live, so that I can fast forward whenever he and Tess are talking, and just have to wince and shudder whenever I inadvertently have to hear any comments he makes before or during the judging.

RETIRE, BRUCE!

There are bound to be a few that prefer the controversial gutter type sense of humour like Frankie Boyle, as apposed to the clean family oriented real talent of Sir Bruce. .

Get your facts right Terry - no-one has said they prefer " controversial gutter type sense of humour like Frankie Boyle". You do like to make things up.

We just don't think Bruce is funny.

There - I've fed the troll again!
Bruce must go

Who Else Wants To 'SET BRUCIE FREE' ?

No wonder Sir Bruce says in the Daily Mail that he will never retire, he has proved all his critics wrong yet again.

" ‘You look at newsreaders! I watch every morning and they’re making fluffs on the Autocue, and nobody ever says anything. But with me it’s a big deal. “He’s too old!” “He can’t do it!” “He’s past it!”,’ he huffs.

‘They say the words on my Autocue are blown up so big you can only fit three on at a time. That’s ridiculous! I have the same Autocue as everyone else and I haven’t even got contact lenses or anything, but that’s not taken into consideration.’ "

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/arti...hes-socks.html

Come on Strictly producers, Dump the Auto Cue and 'SET SIR BRUCIE FREE' to ad lib to his hearts content which is what he does best.

" So there’s no question of him retiring? ‘Oh no! No matter what I do, I certainly wouldn’t retire now — it gives me such a buzz, and I’ve got my one-man show at the Albert Hall next year. It’s more what else I might do. I’d love to do a show with more ad-lib opportunities.’ "

I'm glad to hear your not retiring Sir Bruce all your fans get such a buzz watching you.

Who else loved Anton on The Red Button commentary tonight, They should have him on every week.”

There's something very strange about you fella.
I'd say your just out to wind people up ?
I bet those winter nights just fly by in your company.

Frankie Boyle is a crap Jerry Sadowitz.

Bruce is a fourth rate, holiday camp hack who hasn't died, whipped it out on TV or made lewd jokes about Kate Middleton. This does not warrant the brown nosing he gets from the BBC who must know he is about as entertaining as a bout of syphillis. He needs putting out to pasture.

Your comments are unfortunate & disrespectful to our Living Legend & National treasure, I think its time to hang your head in shame & repent your errant ways.

Good evening BruciesChin, it's nice to see you (and all that)! Seriously, any friend of Terry's etc. I agree with your post, too. I love Brucie and hope he stays as long as he wants.

What an unjust/insulting thing to say.

It's a shame some ppl can't see that wholesome/clean is altogether better than unfunny/so-called humour, Terry.

No-one - apart from Terry - mentioned Frankie Boyle.
It's what's known as a straw man argument.
Totally irrelevant

There are very few wholesome/clean entertainers around like Sir Bruce Pippa, most seem to prefer swimming around in the gutter for cheap laughs.

Needs to refer to the "not so" Slippery slope form of failed argument

Err... What as that to do with his progressively poor contribution to Strictly?

If you want Bruce's sort of entertainment, why not suggest to the BBC he gets his own show, instead of him trying to relive "his greatest moments" by ruining this one?

Oh yes that's right! The BBC wouldn't want to know either.

Of course wholesome comedy can be good just as edgy humour can be. I agree that Frankie Boyle is terrible mainly because he ripped off the much funnier Jerry Sadowitz who lays into everyone. Forsyth isn't funny because you can see all his punch lines from a mile off.

What I said wasn't that bad at all. Just because he has been around for a long time, doesn't make him exempt from criticism and I think he is a fourth rate, egomaniacal hack who got extremely lucky in his career. He should be nowhere near SCD because his ramblings detract from the show.

Edgy humour is a description which is often used now to try and make the smut from the gutter acceptable, Sir Bruce does not travel those roads thankfully.

The very first week of this series, Bruce made a bad taste comment about being photographed topless on holiday - definitely a gutter comment.

BruciesChin, Pippa and Terry all in the same thread.

Isn't it against DS rules for one person to have multiple accounts?

Michael McIntyre doesn’t use gutter comedy either.
Can we have him instead of Bruce?

He probably is better without the autocue in terms of delivering a more confident performance but then we have to endure all the cheesy ad libs and dated jokes from 1970s Christmas Crackers.

Pippa and BruciesChin are both fabulous and unique individuals who's contributions I admire greatly, you have to understand that Sir Bruce is a much loved Entertainer who has many loving fans around the world.

In which case he needs to go and visit his fans elsewhere in the world. Many of us in the UK are fed up to the back teeth of him.

People keep saying this about Michael McIntyre but I've certainly seen him do extended sequences explicitly about what goes on during sex. Just because he doesn't use naughty words doesn't mean that he's doesn't get a bit near the knuckle sometimes.

There's no question that he's "raunchier" than Bruce in some of his choice of subject matter. He's no funnier than Brucie, though, IMO - in fact rather less so.
