I think Jahmene got a great build up too.

I think it was equal for both of the finalists.

I don't think he's 'amazing' at all, I think he is by far the best of a bad bunch though and its obvious the public agree. Will win quite comfortably tomorrow but still predicting his sales to stutter big time. Won't be suited to SYCO at all but good luck to him.

They've done absolutely everything in their power to ensure a James Arthur win, but I'm just not sure he has a fanbase. He's already been in the bottom two.

All four judges seem to be unanimous in wanting James to win, that seems like bias to me.

But hope you put money on it like i did

The YouGov poll which was what the Sun quoted, is pretty widespread demographic, across all age ranges etc and if they say he'll win by a clear majority, he will as Joe and Matt did afte also being predicted landslide wins in the YouGov poll.

The only thing I cannot understand is the 'Chris winning every week' thing that surely would point to a landslide victory for him, the published full results tomorrow will be very interesting, I suspect James has pulled away since Ella left leaving him now in pole position.”

I agree. I've always said he's probably been leading the votes since he was in the bottom 2.

Oh I don't know OP, the pimping of Cher Lloyd and the reinstatement of the sing off just to save her was possibly even more blatant.

The favouritism towards Ella was worse. How old was she again? And was she the last girl?

They did that for Frankie Crapcozza as well - embarrassing

Agree that was appalling
Couldnt stand James' drunken mumbling/wailing/shouting to Feelin' Good either.

He's never gotten any more praise than Jahmene....and as far as sob stories go...last night's VT was the first to Jahmene's many through out the show.

It wasn't half as bad as the Frankie's walk-of-shame-on-stage bit from last year.

I only support the crap acts on this show because I know they have their favourite from the start. I know they are only human in some aspect but I really do wish the people working on the show would just stay more neutral. The hatred for Christopher this series was just daft.

Will they put James on last YET AGAIN?

Jahmene is the only singer left. James can't sing and his 'Extra' songs prove he can't write either.

They resorted to pretty desperate measures to get James in the final 2, it has to be said. Going back to his bedsit (he was a real person living in a real flat? who would have thought?? *is so shocked* XD) and the crying...very forced. The less said about the 'cool' walk-on the better...

He also got fireworks coming down from the ceiling ffs!!

Leona in Series 3 was pimped to the max. Simon was the same with Danyl in Series 6. And of course the famous sing off to shoehorn Cher into the Final over Mary

As bad as that was, it was the first time there were 5 acts in the semi so they kind of covered themselves. The act who was pimped the most that year was Matt, imo. He received constant praise from the judges and numerous standing ovations. Because Cher was a ' hate figure' for many, there was far more scrutiny of anything that happened with her.

The walking onto stage from backstage thing was ridiculous favouritism. Plus all the other stuff.

Its no different to the way they marketed Leona.

Anyway James will win. The north east vote is huge. Little Mix/Joe. People bigged up Liverpool but the North East is Englands biggest region with several large cities to its name. Thats going to take some beating as they always support their own.

I bet Cowell will have a sore thumb today from all that voting for James.

Yeah but I think with good reason there, she had an excellent voice and was very good - eg Sorry Seems to Be the Hardest Word, I Will Always Love You, Summertime (though Ben was my favourite that year). Personally I think the one who was "helped"/pimped that season was Ray. My Way was a good performance but at the time, he always struck me as 12 year old dressing up as someone's dad, and about 4 weeks in a row they gave him swing/big band versions of songs even when they didnt work (swing meets ABBA FFS).

I think with the others its annoying when IMO they didnt always deserve it. Danyl could perform well, as his audition showed but sometimes his voice was all over the place, and if Cher was in the bottom 2 twice, it meant she wasnt as well liked as Simon thought.
