It has been used for concerts previously. But not often.

And for me, I'll always know it as the G-MEX.

Didn't seem as polished as the London venue. The microphone incident was amateur hour.

The performances didn't sound as 'big'! As normal it was all a bit lack luster!

Manchester rules the entire world? So you're telling me each individual nation of our entire planet is actually owned by a UK city? My goodness, I'm surprised they don't make public awareness of such achievement renown to the general public.

Or perhaps they simply want to keep it as their little secret. If so then you my dear 'ForGodsSake' are potentially unveiling a scheme that could restructure the very politics of our planet! Though bear in mind if Manchester does in fact rule the world then surely they can be held accountable for the murder, racism, rape, homophobia, religion and all the other general unpleasantness that the globe upon which all known lift is situated currently houses.

Because the "War of the Worlds" stage show was already booked to play there tonight.

I'm not aware of the appropriate measuring apparatus required for determine an accurate hierarchical system for football. So, well done?

Not as good as Wembley but it's alright. My issue is with the set - it's too square. Should've extended the backdrop door to be more rectangular and had it spreading across the back wall more, it's too central and small at the minute so the stage looks tiny.

Either that or I'd have had those two long vertical screens that they had either side of the stage back at Fountain there, they'd have worked quite well.

Would've actually liked to have seen them try bringing the set from the main studio into an arena too - but enlarging it of course.

XFactor Finals used to be better in the smaller studio. With these big arena finals, they keep doing long camera shots and you cant see the contestants properly. Also because the stage is so big, it forces the production team to have a lot of dancers in routines which distracts from the singing. XFactor finals were better in an intimate environment, the emotional connection between viewers and contestants was superior with the smaller studio and greater number of close-up shots of contestants. Strictly also suffers similarly when it has its big Wembley arena episodes.

Gmex is used for the labour conference. MEN would have been a great final venue
