I don't think she has an obvious favourite at all. I think she seems to treat them both really well and is genuinely committed to both of them. However, it's only natural to have a preference. It's not like Cheryl and Cher, for example, when the favouritism was so blatant it was unreal, or Simon and Leona.

She'd be crazy not to as Jahmene is terrible.

If anything I think she shows a closer bond with Jahmene. Especially from the VTs tonight, I think Nicole and Jahmene are quite close. She's obviously happy they're both in the final. She'll be thrilled for whoever wins.

That's funny that the OP says that bc I'm in a chat that 100% believes that she favors Jahmene. How about Nicole is just the most schamazing mentor ever and she loves both her boys and she's done everything she can for both of them. She got both her acts to the final 2 and all people want to debate is that is she is unfair and favors one over the other.

She seems to have had a soft spot for jahmene right from the beginning- u can see from his audition that she genuinely likes Jahmene. She seems really protective & maternal towards him.

I think that Jahmene needed Nicole's guidance and support more that James did so to be if she is closer to him, it would only be natural. James is the act this year who was least in need of a mentor, but I still think Nicole was good to him as a mentor. Giving someone space when it is needed can be a good thing.

I honestly don't find James boring Loved all his performances. Nicole seems like a great mentor and liked the way she was with both of them. They obviously had different needs for a mentor but she seemed to fill those needs, (I so didn't mean that to sound dirty, but somehow it did!)
