In all seriousness, I don't think that makes any sense.

This thread makes me worry for humanity, how can so many people miss the joke. Good thread op, completely agree.

I'm from Liverpool and I made a shrine for him in my front yard, so everyone can see.

I agree. Christopher is a travesty.

Hahahaha, I missed that! To be fair though, if Christopher had been at this 50 years ago he would have done well. Anyone from Liverpool, however dire, did well if they wanted 50 years ago. Jimmy Tarbuck, Cilla Black, etc., etc. You didn't need talent, just determination and connections.

I am gutted that I am not from Liverpool so I cannot truly share in your sadness. Nor can I say that I am from the city that spawned Christopher Maloney. I really do feel for your loss though. You must be devastated xx

Bet he looks lovely in a little red costume with his fishing rod. Perhaps Gnomeworld makes a Menan as well.

This is where it all goes pear-shaped. When a true fan of the Maloney variety susses out that the thread is sarcastic and gets truly upset by it.

Tee hee. Now I feel like I'm 12 years old and have just taken part in a whizzer prank on the unpopular teacher

It angers me that some of you think this is SOME STUPID PRANK!!!

There was, years ago, a man sent to this Earth for the good of all mankind.

He was our saviour. He changed lives. He was Good.

And yet he was mocked by the ruling powers and eventually killed.

The parallels here are eery. Do you know who this man is that I speak of?

I'll give you a clue.

Do you know what word you need to make the word Christopher?

If it's not clear, I'm thinking of six letters in that name C-H-R-I-S-T-O-P-H-E-R.

Ah yes, you now realise? I sense it.

I of course refer to TOPHER Grace. People failed to appreciate his brilliance as an actor playing Eddie Brock in Spider-Man 3 and his career was murdered because of it. He was last seen in Predators.

Instead, he could have saved us. Like Saint Christopher.

My heart goes out to Christopher, the brave people of Liverpool - and most all - his Nan.

I shall be writing to Ofcom.”

I feel your pain. Sad to say that surely no-one that scouse and orange will ever grace the show again.

Ah well, the economy cruise ships are the winners.

Worrying isn't it?

I'm originally from Liverpool, but that won't stop me from having an expensive bronze statue of Christopher on a huge plinth in my garden, to keep his memory alive.

Get on Dragon's Den and ask for £10 million pounds in exchange for 50% of the business to manufacture and install Maloney statues.

Reminds me of an old programme called citizen smith

" power to the people "

One episode he stole a tank , took it home into his garden , the tank fired knocking all the heads of the nomes.

Ah, I apologise, I was being ironic. The joke being that some people could misinterpret this obvious outpouring of love for Christopher as some sort of silly prank. I understand now that my joke could be misread.

Seriously, even 12 hours later, I have no idea what this means.

Can anyone help solve this baffling conundrum?

I think we can ease up on the slagging off now that he is gone but I agree he is a travesty.

Forecasters expect there to be floods of rain from all the tears of joy produced by Christopher's haterz.

The memory of Christopher Maloney reportedly almost having it all will live on — particularly in Cowell's mind. One scary individual and Maloney was too.
