Best final in a long time. Last year little mix above the rest. matt cardle way above the rest at the time..i cant remember a closer final since will young and gareth gates! maybe jls and alexandra was good but you knew alexandra would probably win, here james had the edge due to performing better but it's still a great final i think. not sure why everyone is so negative. some people just don't get James maybe they're old im not sure

As a Rhydian fan, that was the most stressful final for me! (with the wrong resuly imo obviously)
But in answer to the OP, yes the worst final in XF history!
Even Little Mix and Marcus was marginally better, at least they had more charisma.

This. I liked Marcus but neither him nor Little Mix were half as good as these two.
I can't believe there's people who think this is a good final. Out of tune and control Jahmene vs mumbling angst James, who does every performance exactly the same, mumbling the lines over the top of the original lyrics.
But I guess there are people who think 1 direction are good so each to their own.

They might end up with fantastic record deals, but I cannot see many record sales. Marcus was a more consistent soul singer than Jahmene, combined with good looks and a bit of personality, but as of yet he has not done particularly well. James, well again his personality doesn't stand out and he comes across to me as a very poor imitation of a bad street busker. I can happily listen to anything Matt is involved with, albums, covers and performances which is not the case with James, I just completely switch off. I cannot see many tuning in for the final as there is no eye candy, personality or consistency in the performances of either artist. The only other factor is the artists performing, and they have been on several times in this series. Are they playing live or are they just showing the best performances of the season?
It is one of the worst final two's but at least it's James and Jahmene rather than Chris.

Couldn't disagree more. Normally in the final there is a clear winner. I personally prefer James, but wouldn't mind at all if Jahmene won—they are both excellent, but very different singers. I have never seen so many people in support of a finalist as they do James (although I predict that Jahmene will win—curse of the bottom two and all that).
Alexandra and JLS were also a great final two, although I wasn't particularly keen on JLS at the time.

I think this is a great final two, but as someone said earlier I guess it's personal taste. Both will do well after the show imo but James gets my vote. Although wonder how's my people saying they're not watching tomorrow are on here commenting about the result not able to help themselves

I was watching X Factor USA today. It's just bursting with talent. One of the girls that went yesterday was way better than any of them on this whole UK show.
The talent there is amazing in comparison - and they all seem to have more of a stage presence.

To this day( 25 years later!) I still tend to smile close mouthed or cover my mouth with my hand. Hard habit to break but they're beautiful now, thanks Mom and Dad
