Sometimes when people are so sure of a certain thing happening , they are blinded by the obvious turn of events

He was never going to win

Well if, just say if you were looking to restrict the "Granny" vote, messing up the landlines would be where you would go. Younger callers are more likely to use a Mobile.

Real proof of the pudding will be when the Voting figures are published. If, just say if Chris really was at the top each week, it would be very strange to see him not get into the final 2 at the last hurdle.

Same here ex BT.

It's easy to limit the call traffic.

There are at least 10,000 people at this time trying to get through to DS to provide proof, but they can't get through.

Eoghan Quigg....series 5...topped the votes for 7 weeks and crashed out in 3rd place. The public mess around at the start but things get serious when it gets to the final...especially when it comes to these awful acts like Maloney...

Does this mean they finally found a way to "throttle" Chris?

We have threads like this EVERY year, in every talent show, blaming the phone lines when their favourites are out.

Get over it OP.

I was very confident he would be in the final and am sure the voting results tonight will make interesting reading how many more votes he needed to get there.

Sure, but it wasn't a new phenomenon. Every year, in every talent show (American Idol in particular), people always accuse the phone lines for not working.

Is this why his Nan attacked the camera man at the end of the show

Over confident ,

The people voted and didn't want him as their champion

I got through to register my vote for Christopher. However, after I cast my vote, I did think that it was James who actually did the best on the night with "Feeling Good."

It was an excellent performance by James, definitely his best, IMO.

No matter what the reason, Christopher should be thankful he's out in position 3. He'll have a solid if unspectacular entertainment career now (not on cruise ships) but won't be Cowell's lapdog. He'll have the right management for his style of performing.

Both Jahmene and James are royally f**ked however. They're good singers but not nearly good enough in terms of stage presence or charisma to consistently fill large arenas.
