EE - Does Whitney need to be axed?
She adds nothing to the show anymore IMO, the character has had its day. She's done nothing the entire year and will probably continue to be underused throughout 2013 as well. It's a shame because she was fantastic in the pedophile plot and the Rob storyline last year

Maybe they should do a rape storyline?

They just need to dress her better. I know she's a chav but they dress her like a 90's one.

Yes!
She stopped becoming necessary until 2010. Now I am not sure whether viewers are supposed to find her likable or annoying! |

She reminds me of Little Mo, first storyline she was part of was brilliant, then they didn't really know what to do with them so gave them another sexual abuse one (Mo's Rape and Witneys exploitation) which wasn't tat great then spent years doing nothing and being rather pointless.
So yes she shoul be axed but also like Mo give her a happy ending |

I have nothing against the actress, but the character she portrays is awful. Whitney does need to go.

Why not turn Whitney into a pimp? She could use her experience of being a prossie herself to enslave men in prositution
. Plus, it will make her less of a victim .

Good point on Whitney for the most part.... I disagree that she should have an emotionality abusive relationship, as she has already been sexually abused... and exploited by a pimp etc

What about one that doesn't revolve around sexual abuse though? Just a guy who snipes at her confidence until she's so depressed she's dependent on him (also, quite tempted to say that this could result in such low self-confidence that she's uncomfortable having sex, just to stop the character from putting it about willy-nilly).

She could have this storyline, but how about one that just focuses on her career or her growing as a person, rather than adding more trauma onto her already damaged plate.... Mind you, if you in a soap I guess you have to have adversity

^^That's me drawing a line under it ![]() ![]() Anyway, Whitney as a character needs to move on being a victim and try to rebuild her life- she can use her expereinces to help others like as a counselor or something |

Thank you
![]() Anyway, Whitney as a character needs to move on being a victim and try to rebuild her life- she can use her expereinces to help others like as a counselor or something She did have some career prospects and drive as she wanted to work with children - and does - but this seems to have fallen by the wayside... I feel in suggesting the emotional abuse storyline, that every person has their breaking point, where enough is enough and that perhaps Whitney hasn't reached that point yet? She, like Kat, is still letting what happened to her, rule her now... It's a shame. |

This would be truly excellent but would involve a minimum, three year investment on the story arc for the writers (for realism purposes), so it's unlikely to happen.

Exactly and that needs to be addressed as so many viewers seem to have lost interest in Whitney.
I think maybe she should bond with Kat- and realise that Kat is her future if she doesn't sort herself out Having said that though (and I know this isn't the point of the post, so apologies), I think if Kat just embraced the fact that she likes sex, rather than focussing on the "why" being because of abuse (or so she thinks), she would actually be a lot healthier mentally. |

Good thinking... It should be a very sobering mirror.

I agree- Kat needs to move on from her abuse too. I really feel for Alfie- he knew she had lots of baggage when they married. |
