ee/orange signal issue
ziggysucks
08-12-2012
Other half got an upgrade from HTC to iPhone 4s this week. We sold the iPhone as didn't want a new phone.

The iPhone reached the new owner today and coincidentally my oh now has no signal on his current phone with his old sim.

A new micro sim was sent with the upgrade which we obviously haven't touched. Is it possible the other phone having a simcard put in has somehow cocked up the old/current sim? Might just be a coincidence and there are signal issues but I'm orange and all fine.

Can't check his sim in my phone as it only takes microsims.

If the upgrade was ordered from an indirect retailer (CPW or Phones 4U etc) then the sim change would be programmed for anytime up to 7 days after placing the order.

I hope you didn't give the sim away with the phone?

Ring Orange. They will turn the old sim back on for you.

Thank you it was mobiles.co.uk, no we have the new sim here with us! We thought that might be it. Perhaps a coincidence it happened the same day the new phone reached the new owner. OH will call them tomorrow

mobiles.co.uk are owned by CPW, so that explains it.
