I just visualised a wrestling match if no one remembers who does which one!

Louis's jive has good potential especially given his progression in the last couple of weeks. Hoping for some nice high kicks and fast, sharp flicks.

Lisa's poor technique will be highlighted in both of her dances - i can't imagine the armography in the salsa or the gliding rise and fall of the foxtrot (assuming they are doing a foxtrot AS) being very good. No doubt they'll ham up the side-by-side pointing and simple motions in order for their salsa get the 'entertaining' vote

Denise's AT or Tango would be pretty strong - she is usually good at the dances requiring her to be sharp and precise. Neither the Rumba or Samba will be fantastic for her given her poor hip action - Rumba would surely be lesser of two evils.

Unconvinced as to whether or not Dani will have the firey passion for AT, Paso or Rumba but hoping she pulls it out the bag! Surely having Vincent as an AT teacher will help massively. I personally would rather she had another 'fun' one left (like jive/charleston/qs)

.”

I hope so too, but I'm not sure he isn't a bit flat-footed to do a good jive. (That was two negatives, so make of it what you will )

I had hoped Lisa would get Waltz/Paso to at least make Robin do something a bit different with her :/

AS will just be Foxtrot round 3, Salsa will be CCC round 6...

I hope Dani gets a Paso as I'd like to see another Paso before the series ends and for no other reason. Her Tango was good too so why not?

Please God let Kimberley do the rumba. I need a week off from the judges hyperventilating over how amazing somebody's Charleston is.

So this will either be a pro or a con then.... pro for those that love her energy and life force on the floor and a pro for those of us who were cheesed off with her set of dances after their second repetition...

I think Dani is more likely to have the rumba as it'll be more of a divergence from the AT. And it's another of Vincent's favourites, of course.

We have not seen enough rumba's this season, my favourite dance

Shows what I know!

I think this means we can rule out American Smooth for Kimberley. Leaning towards Argentine Tango/Charleston combo for her as that seems to be quite a popular one for the semis in recent years. We should have a rumba though as discounting Louis' fusion we've only had three this series.

But Argentine Tango is a latin

I reckon Kimbo will have the Waltz & Rumba. I think Denise will also have the Rumba so to compete with Kimberley or at least I'm hoping.

I always think the Rumba should be chucked, not because it isn't a lovely dance when done well but I don't think I've ever seen a decent Rumba on Strictly and most of the pros probably want to avoid it as its the dance where most people go out

I thought that was the curse of the salsa/samba

That'd be the draw of death, surely? Even the most perfect and elegant waltz is unlikely to be knockout, and her rumba would have to be up there with Kara's to compensate. Dani, Louis and Denise all have or should have at least one 'wow factor' dance.

It was officially classed as ballroom by the show in series 8 and 9 (before that it was unclassified in series 3-7). New producers have rewritten the rules as they go though, so not surprising.

The main site is now updated again with confirmation of a 4 person final.

'The five couples kick, spin and chasse for one of only four places in the grand final'

Waltz should be alright for some decent judges scores though, and there haven't been any stand-out efforts all series really. Even if you expand it to Viennese Waltzes as well you've got Dani, maybe Denise and very maybe Louis. I know her own Viennese Waltz was an obvious flat-liner in the vote, but if she does a decent Pretty Princess waltz she might be ok.

In a previous series when they got to two dances per week one of the pros (I think it was Brendan when he danced with Lisa Snowdon) said that it was only necessary to have one good dance, and the other one could be a bit 'meh', because you dance your highest scoring dance in the dance-off.

If they have one dance they think will be tricky for their celeb, or lack impact with the viewing public, it's worth chucking the 'wow' choreo and rehearsal time into the other one.

I'd guess Bobby will be focusing all their efforts on Lisa's salsa and he has tweeted that they're trying "something a bit different". I expect it'll be fun, fun, f......... oh, never mind
