Dani and Vincent : American Smooth and Argentine Tango

These are two fantastic dances for them, but I feel really short-changed. I can only think that one of the Latin dances was substituted for the AT when they changed the rules for the final. (I'm falling into the "there will be no new dance in the Finals" camp).

I totally get them both wanting to do their AT but this means that if Dani gets to the end of the series, she will not have danced two of the 10-dance series (rumba and paso doble) and only done 45 sec. of Charleston.

I'm hoping that Vincent is planning a rumba/paso doble showdance to fill the gap. Flavia and Louis will have danced all style by the finals if their showdance is AT-themed, which seems to be the plan now TPTB have screwed with the Finals.

James and Denise have the sex appeal of a wet rodent.

By the end of this week, Louis is going to be the only celeb who can say they have done all the standard 10 dances - the others have one if not two lacking in the list (and if you include AT), many will have 3 genres not done.

Denise & James on ITT tonight so we should get their dances then. Will probably have to wait for Ian's training review tomorrow for Kimble's dances as she doesn't usually tweet them.

Denise - Rumba and Tango (ITT)

I think that's Lisa fate sealed then, I think Denise would have had to have both her nightmare dances for her to stay. I think it'll be Denise, Kimberley (assuming she has Rumba/Waltz), Dani, Louis then Lisa, with the top 4 having about one point between them, and I wouldn't be surprised if only one who gets lower than a 9 is Lisa.

Not sure how well Louis will jive, he's great with slow posed stuff, gymnastics help there but ? If jive will suit him.

Where has the rumba/waltz notion come from, please, for Kimberley, I mean?

Loved Pasha and Chlesee's rumba last year and think Kim could bring real sex appeal to a routine.

This is what I think too, MrsMop. I'm just worry-bussing that if she has Waltz as well her night might be too gentle (lovely, elegant etc) and not enough impact... But have faith in Pasha to come up with something.

It's not confirmed, but I think it's likely. I can't see her doing an American Smooth because both Dani and Lisa are doing it, and I can't see them wanting to do the Argentine Tango in the same week as Vincent, so that leaves the Waltz. For Latin she has Rumba or Charleston, it could easily be either I just think the rumba is most likely.

It probably would be too soon for AT after the Tango bit of her Chango too.

Hmm. Would Charleston have more oomph for the semis and save the Rumba for the final??? (If she gets that far) I'd like to see both Rumba and Charleston from her at some point, it's just the likely impact of the two dances that's a bit nerve-making.

He seems nifty with his feet. The excellent swivel action of his Charleston is a good indicator that he could probably do a competent retracting kicks and flicks at the bare minimum for the jive.

If they want to avoid duplication Kim could get Waltz/Charleston and that would also give a high scoring pair with good contrast.

I don't know that they'd do Waltz/Rumba as both are slow romantic dances.

I think James now knows that their best-case scenario is to make the final at all, and doesn't need to worry about tackling one of his two nightmare dances as they'll already have been eliminated.

Do it really matter? They aren't going to win and I'd rather see two more great dances from them than watch them struggle with the Samba and Argentine Tango.

Yes if someone else gets sacrificed to Lisa as the judges can mark Denise and James higher for their dances- if they have these for instance and Kim n Pasha have the less showy numbers then it could happen...

Sorry- its just irritating that others have had to do dances that don;t suit them- like Michael and Louis- and James/ Denise will potentially steer clear of two that are notoriously dangerous as he is rubbish at them!

I don't think there is a new dance in the final this year other than their showdances which is a bit rubbish - We aren't getting a Louis/Flavia AT because of this 4 couple final.

So this is the last chance for a new dance?! In that case, I deffo want a Kim/Pash Rumba. You think it's just three dances each then? I'm permanently confused
