What was the problem with Nicole's mic?

Theres a video somewhere on youtube that shows inside the stadium and you couldnt hear Nicole until she used Jahmenes mic.

Microphones have 2 transmitters - 1 for the venue and 1 for TV to try drown out most of the audience noise. A packed venue is extremely noisy.
Could only hear her slightly.
Sounded like it wasn't working in the arena. With all the others you could hear the echo around the arena, but you couldn't through that mic.

Always a huge scandal on this forum about everything.
There's a video on youtube that a fan recorded showing that nobody could hear her in the arena. We could just about hear her on TV, but there was no sound from her mic in the venue.

Nonsense. Zayn's mic failed during the 1D performance last night, as did the mic brought on for James following his victory.

You would think they would have sorted it out after what happened on Saturday. Apparently not
On Xtra Factor, Gary joked that the first verse was the best he'd ever heard Nicole sing eg it was the best because they couldn't hear her. Obviously the mic wasn't working. Quick-thinking from her saved the performance, and I thought made it better than it would have been. Them sharing the mic was pretty awesome.
If you look back at the video link I posted you will see that when she was supposed to sing no one in the audience could hear her until she used Jahmenes.
