I am not the author of this spoof, and I personally will be watching EE this xmas BUT i think the author of this deserves to have his work published

EE Aid 2004

It's Christmas time,
There's no need to be afraid,
At Christmas time, we watch Coronation Street and banish EE,
And in our world of quality we can spread a smile of joy.

Throw your arms around the Street at Christmas time.

But say a prayer,

Pray for the Cockerney ones,
At Christmas time it's hard, but when you're in EastEnders,
There's no world outside your window,
And it's a world of webcams and Shannis,
Where the only water flowing is the bitter sting of Little Mo’s tears
And the Christmas bells that ring there,
Are the clanging cries of Rosie Miller,
Well tonight thank God it's them instead of you

And there won't be snow in Albert Square this Christmas time,
The greatest gift they'll get this year is Kathleen Hutchinson,
(Oooh) Where storylines never grow,
No lines or scripts flow,
Do they know it's Christmas time at all?

(Here's to you) suck a finger for everyone,
(Here's to them) in that depressing Square,
Do they know it's Christmas time at all?

Feed Jack the War Hero, Feed Jack the War Hero, Feed Jack the War Hero,
Let him know it's Christmas time.

Feed Jack the War Hero,
Let him know it's Christmas time.
Feed Jack the War Hero,
Let him know it's Christmas time.
Feed Jack the War Hero,
Let him know it's Christmas time.
Feed Jack the War Hero,
Let him know it's Christmas time.

Whatever way you look at that, its not really funny.
The words don't fit and that spoils the whole thing.

Very sad indeed.

'Tis a shame some of the lines don't really scan, but a nice attempt.

I will. Shame the above poster imno12u doesn't like it. It could do with some consideration of iambic pentameter surely but the spirit is there.

Yeah, like others I was a bit annoyed that the words don't really fit the tune - but Hey, I'm over it now.

I am right in the middle of attempting my own Christmas composition dedicated to all those hard working officers at Sunhill.

Okay, Okay it's not that bad, but I hate parody songs where the words don't fit the tune. It ruins the idea of it. for example:
And there won't be snow in Albert Square this Christmas time,
The greatest gift they'll get this year is Kathleen Hutchinson
It just doesn't work.

Now that people have got the ball rolling, why don't we all try to make some soap carols.

Good plan. The author would be pleased with that idea.

Ok, firstly it's total trash, I mean use some imagination please! Most of it doesn't make sense.

Secondly, it's spelt Hutchison not Hutchinson.

Thirdly, how utterly disrespectful of the author to use lyrics which purpose was/is to make millions for people dieing of starvation, in terms of a soap it's pathetic, they need to get in the real world. Totally disgusting.

This is funny apart from the 'save jack the war hero' section which doesn't work.
