Apart from the her being a professional dancer west end star, advantage over other contestants, what is it that people dont like about her? I have read comments that people are not keen on her anyway and stuff, but i havent watched her for years, never watched or read about her back in the Big Breakfast Days

so what is it that people dont like?

I've always found her pretty fake. Her friendship with James seems so forced like she's trying to recreate Denise and Johnny. I don't know. I just don't find anything about her real.

Like her or not she is a consummate professional and her dedication to her craft is second to none..

Ohhhh interesting - I hadn't thought about it like that!
I thought it was more either the old chestnut of "she's a stage actress so she knows how to dance" or ... Jordan seems to polarise opinion. Is it HIM people don't like as much as issues with Denise?

For want of better words she's "blonde ambition" personified, always has been always will be. Others will think that's a good thing, nothing wrong with being ambitious. And yes, that's true, but ambition combined with pushiness don't make a winning combination for me. But she is a great dancer, she just lacks the warmth to be a wonderful dancer as far as I am concerned.

I don't like the little putdowns she gives James on the VT. Its as if she is trying to say "look at me, aren't I feisty and funny" when she just comes across as two sharp.

I think she's a threat to the people others want to win so they read big things into the little things she does.

She is ambitious but you get nowhere in life waiting for somebody to come and knock your door and offer you opportunities.

For me personally, she lacks warmth and all the "we've had a tough week this week " is cobblers. She can dance and always has been able to and yet it's being rammed down our throat that she works hard in training to learn how to dance. I don't like James either which isn't helping as his attitude stinks. He makes it all about him.

I do think that if she had have been partnered with a more likeable pro, people's opinions of her may change. As it is, she comes across as a hard faced cow, there is no softness to her and that's not very endearing.

That's enough for me T the simple fact she shouldn't be there. She hasn't progressed in her skill since the beginning so even considering her advantage isn't a worthy winnner in my opinion.

Because she is good and not a pretty boy that lost out to gold in the Olympics.

Successful, pretty, ambitious. What's there not to hate?

I'm seeing this a lot, and I have to say... I am beginning to agree... Brendan or Artem would have been better choices... but lord help us if Queen Vic had gotten James.

Smug smile, arrogant, loves herself, thinks she's the best. Her face last night when they got the comments showed just the person she is.

I also don't think her dancing has progressed from week one, she may be a good dancer (already), but it doesn't show each week that she has come along, like the others have. Her attitude seems to be I've done another dance this week and nailed it, didn't have to learn it, from scratch, arrogant woman and god hope she's not in the final as it will show SCD to be fixed and a farce.

She is a ringer, but that is not the bit that makes her unlike-able, just an unworthy winner.
I think the constant "Whiplash that disappears overnight" "can't do the lift" "can't do the dance" "hardest week ever" "hardest dance ever" stuff is very tiring and got old very quickly.

And, on a personal note, her giant, unmoveable, forehead scares me.

I agree with this; I haven't seen much improvement or growth whatsoever in her dancing. And I really can't say what it is about her that means I cannot warm to her...even though I thought her jive was really good, I had no desire to watch it again, and I do not find her dancing or partnership with James engaging at all.

WRONG. For the first year in ages I don't have a favourite and won't be particularly thrilled if any of them wins. I just don't like Denise.

Denise is refreshingly natural and earthy and can mix it with the boys on their own level.

Nothing to do with this then?

Moaning again.I wondered how long it would be before she blamed Chris Evans. People who complain about criticism of her should remember DVO has no such qualms about doing the same to others.

Hard as nails and reeks of desperation. Dreadfully brash, loud and contrived 'ladette' personality that her age she should have grown out of.

Harping on about that dratted dress did it for me.

I was just about to relent and maybe like her a bit until Dress-gate. Do shut up about it, dear.

Look at them attacking the others in that interview. They are both unlikable.

Before this series I knew next to nothing about her.
And to answer the question 'why do people not like Denise', in my case it is because she is so false (particularly in her modesty)
