I was no fan of Chris at all but writing on the VT that he was from Everton rather than writing he was from Liverpool split the Liverpool vote between Liverpool and Everton supporters and his vote went down

Do you honestly think anyone cared?

They certainly tried every trick in the book, but Chris made the final anyway.

Syco was not going to back him if he won, so I think that he'll do just as well by having got to the final. He certainly has a fanbase, and somebody in the business will help him to make the most of this.

But with each of the three in their VT they focused on the little bit of where they came from... James' talked about Saltend, Jahmene's about Gorse Hill and Christopher's about Everton.

The only sneaky way these god-like producers got rid of Chris was by letting the public decide.

Saying that Liverpool didn't vote Chris because the VT said Everton is like saying the North East won't vote James because he is from Boro and not Newcastle, Sunderland etc.. !!

So its flawed and the Chris theories get more and more bizzare.

Glad someone else noticed that about each ones hometown. You're right, the public decided, he's gone, job done

Yeah, I thought they were slinging a lot of stuff at him last night. Oh well, he did well to get to the last weekend and perform in front of that big crowd on that stage, and he did say he was already getting offers and as Louis said he has the tour too.

I really don't think the football team you support comes into it that much.

Wasn't it his call centre was in Everton anyway?

I thought for once the panel were at least a bit respectful towards Chris recognising that he did have a lot of public support.
But then that talentless Caroline Flack spoiled it by getting her childish digs into Christopher as usual on the Xtra Factor. She wants to secure a job the next Xtra Factor season.
Chris was never in the bottom two and although he was my winner out of the three finalists and I shall buy his album, he went out of the competition at a very respectable third place but it was in my opinion the right time for him to go.
I don't know about the politics in Liverpool as regards the football teams but not everyone who voted for Christopher comes from Liverpool.
A lady in the VT said what I thought. People do like to sing along to to classic songs and don't particularly like the songs to be messed about with.

Nicole did a fabulous job in picking the right songs at the right time. Well done to her for that.
James was absolutely phenominal when he sang "Feeling Good" and that is the first time I have really liked his singing.
Jahmene also stepped it up a gear to prove that he does have a very wide vocal range.
It's a shame they both had to shed tears in their VTs. Maybe James doesn't realise that most of us have lived in rotten bedsits or sofa surfed at some part in our lives.

very good post. The producers and the rest of the scum involved think now that he has gone it is all ok. Chris is taking is time to think about what has gone on. He could bring the show to his knees with half the stuff people did not see. He has plenty of offers from papers to give his side of the story. I wouldn't blame him one bit, they think the offer of a tour is going to keep them quite. Think again .

That claim might have some merit had they not stated which part of Liverpool Chris comes from on at least two prior occasions during the series.

I think you're reaching for an excuse there.

Haha, I thought this too. I actually thought his bedsit looked alright. He was only crying because he's now used to living in a swanky hotel

This goes in my festive DS top ten clutching at straws posts of 2012.

Bring the show to its knees? Don't think so. You've really not been doing your homework on the media, have you?

I was surprised to see the Everton sign too, given that (as far as I'm aware) Chris comes from Kirkdale and works in Liverpool city centre. Probably just randomly driving past, and the route didn't take in Anfield.

However, as a Reds fan, it wouldn't have stopped me voting for him anyway.

Excellent post. Chris got out at the right time and will have a good career. Once they realise he brings in money, managers will fall over him.

I can't stomach that Flack one. She has "I'm single, desperate, shag me" written all over her face. Harry Styles ironically comes across as far more mature.

The James bedsit moment was nauseating. It looked completely contrived and won't have gained much sympathy. When my business failed I lived in much worse, on a blow up mattress in the corner of an office. Get over it lad.

After seeing the number of topics about Chris on these forums whenever he even farts near a microphone, you need to ask that question?
