I'm very confused. This time last year, most of this forum was going on about how good Tulisa was at singing when she sang with Little Mix. (Yes, people were saying positive things about Tulisa, I'm shocked too).

However, this year, everyone is bashing her, saying she can't sing and that she would have done awful singing in the final, even though she did good last year? The one performance of "Sight of You" which she didn't perform that well on, doesn't mean she's automatically become a bad singer..

It's one thing being a singer in a band where strong vocals aren't required, and another when you have to sing by yourself live on stage.

She was good when she was being drowned out by Little Mix, and absolute shite when she performed solo on X Factor.


Also - Her Britain's Got Talent performance, along with her X Factor one both show that she cannot sing.

I know I love tulisa and I`m sick of people saying she can`t sing live, she is AMAZING live and i know becauuse Ive seen her live. It annoys me

I recently re-watched her performance with Little Mix, and Tulisa has many solo lines, and she sounds very good. Better than Little Mix, IMO.

Her singing is not effortless like I would expect a popstar professional singer to sing. Her style of singing is not pleasant and soothing. She sounds like she is straining as she grips the microphone for dear life.

I'm assuming she was too nervous (same with her BGT performance), and Sight of You is not the kind of song which is easily sung live.

I'm not a Tulisa fan at all but she can sing. It's ridiculous people saying she can't. Really boring now.

She can definetly sing, but she is much more confident within a group or singing with others. eg. N-Dubz and Little Mix.

I thought she was awful with Little Mix and awful now.

She was a good judge last year and sounded good with little mix but this year she is a right miserable cow and sounded shite when singing so deserves all the criticism she gets

an odd thing has happened to Tulisa....quite agree...her voice has deteriortaed in the last year....I am concerned that she may have suffered some vocal damage .... but she does seem very dejected and miserable...maybe she knows that her solo career isnt doing as well as hoped and SC has threatened her departure... al this on the back of what perhaps has been a difficult time? I am, not a fan and listened to her album....clearly someone has released the wrong singles...
there are better tracks on the album than all 3 released...but the album is so-so which isnt great when your a judge, currently high profile and the title of the album is 'female boss'.

personally i wasn't that impressed with tulisa last year - i thought that little mix carried it. tulisa's very very hit and miss though. i've seen a hell of a lot more bad performances from her than i've seen good.


oh please. she's a bad performer in general. she just fits in better with a group. and btw - sight of you wasn't even live. she mimed. and was still aweful.


she was well liked last year. people only hate on her in response to her being miserable/angry all the time. so yes.

I've seen her live as well at the v , she was bloody awful . She was that good the guy next to me fell a sleep, and she half emptied the field out. She was awful.

She definitely sang live 100% this year.

No, the hate for Tulisa mainly started when the sex tape leaked.

She can sing, it's just very strained... She needs a proper catchy song like 'Young' to pull her through. No-one actually rates her voice that much, it's all about the material.

I think she needs to release "Live Your Life". It's basically Young 2.0.
