Samsung 37" 6300: Order of channels in EPG
I've just bought a 37" Samsung 6300 and am generally very happy with it. However, I have one niggling little issue that I would like to resolve. I have defined several "favourite" channel lists including one named "Core" which just has the channels we mostly watch. I can set the EPG guide to show only the channels in this or any of the other favourite or standard channel lists. The problem is that the EPG shows the channels in the Core list sorted alphabetically whereas all the other lists are sorted in channel number order. Ideally, the EPG would show the channels in the Core list in the order I carefully set up when I created the list, but channel number order would be second best.
This problem feels like I must have inadvertently set the EPG channel order somewhere for this list but I can't find a corresponding command in any of the menus. Has anyone else come across and solved this small but slightly irritating problem? Model: UE37ES6300U S/W Version: 001030 Thanks for any help, Richard |

Order of Channels in EPG
Did you find the solution to this? I've just set up an ES6710 for a relative, and had one Favourites list in Channel order and another in Alphabetical order. I'm now away from the TV so can't experiment with the menus. It would be a great help to know what the solution is. - Peter

On my Samsung you can move the channels up and down in the list via the menu. I think it's press green when on the station to move, move it up or down with centre controls, then red to drop it in position....(Colours might be wrong)....I'm not with TV at the moment, will try to remember to double check tomorrow...

Peter - sorry but I still have the problem. I think that call100's comment refers to the ability to set up the channel order in the channel editor. I did that- the problem is the guide does not respect that order. Hope someone else might have discovered a solution

I find it works very well and rarely view the full EPG these days. |

call100 - yes, that's how I created my Favourites channel list. the problem is that the order is not maintained in the EPG but the channels in the Favourites list are sorted alphabetically.

On mine you can edit the channel numbers while leaving the name intact........If you can do this on yours it would at least give you a way to order the channel numbers within the favourites list.... Apologies again if this is another bum steer....
