UnblockUs
When I was attempting to access the free trial site for netflix, the option of installing unblockus came up, which I did. When I tried to input my details for the trial, the unblockus website filled my screen. Now every time I input netflix.com, unblockus comes up. Uninstall it, methinks. Knowing what to do and how to do it are two very different things. The unblockus website explains how to uninstall it, which I followed, but nothing will allow me to get rid of this godforsaken program from my laptop. I have since read loads of posts about this, and how it is impossible to uninstall. Can anyone help? I cannot take out the netflix free trial until my laptop is free of this contagiously annoying program.

I wasn't aware that unblock us installed anything. I certainly didn't have to install anything to use the service. I thought you just changed your DNS settings to use it?

ETA: Still does: "Need to set up on another computer? If you are running Windows download easy setup app or follow these easy setup instructions: Windows Vista | Windows 7 | Windows 8 | Mac OSX | Windows XP" ...and the link downloads "unblock-us.exe". |

I have managed to uninstall it, thankfully. But re DNS settings, I didn't configure them to be able to access Unblockus. After checking my downloads/installations, etc., I didn't install anything, so how it got on my laptop, God only knows. UnblckUs themselves were not very helpful at all.
