Annoying texts
The wife has been getting a load of texts along the lines of "you have a secret admirer, call(number) to find out who".
She's on O2 and now my daughter who is with Tesco is getting them.Any idea how to stop them?(unless there really is a father and son womanising organisation on the go).

It is illegal for a company to send unsolicited marketing text messages to a personal mobile phone. You should contact ICSTIS if the message includes a premium rate number. Your service provider cannot normally help.
If your register your mobile number with the Telephone Preference Service then it will be illegal for companies to make marketing calls. www.tpsonline.org.uk www.icstis.org.uk |

Worth noting guys that it takes 28 days for the TPS system to kick in companies that ring after 28 days you can report them to TPS and they will take the appropriate action, that is of course as long as you get the compnay details before you abuse the person and hang up!

I keep getting messages "Thank you for your ringtone order, KT12. Your account has been charged £4.50. If you have not recieved your tone please call 0905 xxxxxxx".
Was getting it once an hour a few days ago. Ignored it, probably an expensive line and I just won't pay the bill if it's gone on the contract. |
