Netflix via Roku or Panasonic VIERA Connect Blu Ray player?
Okay, I'm looking to do a Gift sub for Netflix for my mum. Was originally going to get her a Roku box just for Netflix, but while also looking at getting her a Blu Ray player I've found a good Panasonic Smart 3D Blu Ray player (DMP-BDT120) and discovered its got a Netflix app. Any one used the Netflix app on the Panasonic VIERA Connect platform? Any good?

Used Netflix on my Panasonic TV for a couple of weeks and it worked very well. I cancelled the free month trial though as the available content was very poor in my view.

Thanks, I went with the Panasonic Blu Ray player for the gift so good to hear it works well. I think Netflix is pretty good, admittedly not the many of the latest movies because of exclusive deals with LoveFilm and Sky, but it had some great classic movies and some good slightly older stuff, plus loads of great US TV shows, which is what I think is a big selling point.

If the industry could quit with the exclusive deals and release everything widely...
They'd probably find the frustration levels they cause drop massively... |
