Favourite Apprentice quotes
I'm prompted to write this after watching two episodes today which had me reaching for a pen & paper. It's good to watch episodes for a second time, now that we have a better idea of contestants' character.
David, Buying/Negotiating task To camera: "When managing men, you have to treat them like dogs and then they'll know who their leader is. When managing women, you have to flirt with them..." David, Buying/Negotiating task 1. When trying to negotiate the price on a plant. To salesman (and possibly the nursery owner): "We are desperate for this plant" Salesman: "If you're that desperate, you'll pay anything" (Thank you for finally saying this. Too many contestants have used this line before and not had their foolishness pointed out to them. Please will the next person in this position increase the price by 10% and refuse to budge?). 2. On leaving the nursery: David, to team mates: "I think that went really well" |

Is this just from this series, or ever? Let me think... a lot of Nick Hewer quotes, obviously. ('Who does he think he is?')
Paul: I'm a Roman Catholic, and as God is my witness, I shook her hand outside. Sir Alan: Well, I'm Jewish and I couldn't care less! Sara: You take one side of the story, and then you just ATTACK... Melody: Don't tell me the sky's the limit if there are footprints on the moon. Zara: Everyone has dreams, but there's a difference between the people who lie in their bed at night dreaming of all that they could do, and the people who wake up, get up and start doing the work so they can actually live that dream. Yasmina: No, half of... shit. That's the ones that come to mind now, but there are loads more... |

Ben: For me, making money is better than sex.
Harry Hill: You're not doing it right!

There are loads from the interview stage...
Baggs: But at the moment I'm just a big fish in a small pond. Claude: You're not a big fish. You're not even a fish.

Baggs: "I'm not a one trick pony, I'm a whole field of ponies."
(Audience: "No you're not, Stuart, you're a complete pillock.") |

'i sent you out to sell the best of british to the french. You spent half the bloody day frying sausages on some stupid contraption the boy scouts could have made and worse than that you lost me money. You're a total disaster....you're fired!'
or 'i dine with prince or pauper!' 'And you're the prince?'
