Seriously, I've never heard of Shontelle. Then again that type of music is not my cup of tea.
Was it a successful song when she did it? |

Have to admit I don't pay too much attention to pop charts these days, so that's probably why I'd never heard it

I know that song well, it's on my iPod. I thought it was very well known and was surprised they picked it.

I'd heard of it, my ears hated it and was shocked it sold any records
Maybe that's why they recycled it, was case of 'try again' |

I knew it
I love that song, even though I don't usually listen to urban music...I think it's beautifully written

I'd never heard of it either. But I don't listen to that sort of stuff - I'm not relevant and current LOL

It sounded vaguely familiar but I didn't really know it. I thought James's rendition was dreadful even though I like him but I googled it and listened to the original and it's supposed to be like that
![]() What an awful song

I like James, but these girls from the USA X Factor sang it much better. One of the girls voices is incredible...

I'm not familiar with the original but think James done a good version
Haven't watched much of X Factor but the bits I did see I thought both James and Jahmene were very talented. For me I'd probably listen more to James's music as I like indie/guitar music personally

I knew the song and thought honestly that he did a very poor job, maybe because i liked the original though, I don't know, i thought that "Let it be" was more fitting for the charity

I like how people call it 'urban'. It's a pop song, for crying out loud! I like how they gave this recent, relevant song to James and had Jahmene warbling a beat-less Let It Be...
