I like Nicole, but did anyone else think she looked rather disappointed when James won..? Judging by the solemn look on her face when James's name was announced, I think it's safe to say she wanted Jhamaine to win. Though personally I think James was a very deserved winner. I think Nicole has been a great judge, but didn't she say something along the lines 'James you weren't supposed to win..' or something like that

I think it was obvious.

Nicole wanted Jahmene to win from the start. They had a bond like Cheryl and Cher had.

No she meant he's not the typical x factor winner.

I just feel she has too much respect for them both to be rubbing one of their noses in it :/

To be fair she had already won, she couldn't act too excited as they both her acts anyways

The bond that ended straight after the show had finished

I thought it was the perfect reaction. She can hardly jump up and down. She already knows she won.

but she gave every act the boost they needed. during james' perormances, her whole body, her hand gestures highlight james' every nuance, every message, the key changes, the works... heck, she guides audience reaction and appreciation... for that james should be very grateful indeed!!

this from a james fan!!

Agree, as I saw her face too, wasn't happy James won. Olly made a ref on Xtra F re which one won, supposedly in jest form, although you never know.

I am impressed how many mind-readers there are on this thread. I personally have no idea if she was disappointed or not.

After her shambolic X Factor experience last year in the US to get a second go, win over the UK public with her personal brand of lunacy, create brand new superlatives, get two people to the final; first and second place and heroically save Jarmeyne's duet after mic failure.

Then to raise her profile to a huge extent in order to re-launch her pop career in the New Year. Do you know, I don't think there is any room in her life for disappointment right now.

They were both her contestants, anyone of them winning would have been a joy and a sadness at the same time for the one who lost, bittersweet is maybe more realistic

How would you react though if you had two in the final ? I think she handled the situation pretty well though.

Louis looked gutted but he seemed to really take to Jahmene from the start and seemed really impressed by how lovely a guy he genuinely was

Jeez. Did you really want her to jump up and down and scream right in front of Jahmene?

Typical DS nonsense!

She had to be somewhat neutral about it! She wanted James to win from the start anyway according to the winner predictions at the judge's houses. Nicole couldn't exactly jump about the stage screaming when Jahmene was right next to her too. Jahmene would have had his poor little lamb heart drop off...

I didn't notice that she looked disappointed. All she seemed to care about was to get her ugly mug on camera as much as possible - yes, she has a good figure but I think her face is very unattractive!

She can't win, if she was celebrating you would be slating her for rubbing it into Jahmene, Nicole was VERY PROFESSIONAL..

lol, yeah. Just what I was thinking. This "friendship" they claim to have with their acts is just a lot of nonsense. The contestants are meat to them and the show itself. They use them and then dump them when they are finished. Only a few bones remain.
