Everytime they said he won each week, Dermot growled and you could see the acts in the background looking disgusted.

Was he not allowed on the show?

According to 'rumours' he turned up to today's rehearsal drunk and called Carolynne a 'c', so was sent home.

It's complete garbage.

I'm listening to a live interview he's doing with Radio City in Liverpool right now.

He has a doctors note that he's prepared to show anyone.

He's sick to death of the lies and is considering legal action.

That'll be why he just sent Carolynne abuse on Twitter which he swiftly deleted, and even the show itself didn't say he was ill, they said he didn't want to be there anymore.

The acts looked very bitter indeed. It was hilarious to see. Union J looked like they where about to cry.

Peeps cannot argue with the fact Maloney was loved and peeps paid money voting for him each week.

I just think the vote turnout was so low it made it easy for his fans to vote for him.

Despite the fact that three separate sources witnessed him dropping the C-bomb at her, and that he mocked her for going out in Week 1 on Twitter. Oh, he's such a bare-faced and obvious liar it's almost hilarious.

How did he get the drs note. Gps are closed on Sunday.

I think something did go down.
@davidpoole07: What a vile creature that chris Maloney is... Doesn't deserve a chance like he's had.

I'll expect he was sent home because he was drunk and disorderly rather than because of a spat.

I also note that the vote reveal was not done at the start of the show with the judges - but near the end when many would have tuned out. It was almost like they wanted to avoid saying Chris came top for the first seven weeks with 25-30% of the vote.

A pity the presenters can't at least try to be impartial - even if they didn't particularly like Mr Maloney. But then I expect they are just acting under orders - and want to keep well in before they decide next year's presenting line up.

Personally I have no idea what Maloney is like - but after 9 years of this show and its manipulations/PR stunts to sell papers I am always a bit sceptical of the official line.

I'm not doubting the votes, but I still want to know who actually voted for him. Speaking to people of all ages, friends, family and online, everywhere, he never had many fans so was a bit baffling.

With the acts, I am sure they had reason for it. I doubt all of the acts + Dermot, Louis, Caroline and Tulisa were all wrong, and Chris was indeed a brilliant individual... he must have been a nightmare backstage. To me it seemed he had clashes with many, the acts wouldn't be that cold to do that if it wasn't bad. Whether what he called Carrolyne was correct (the C word) or not, he must have upset people backstage. Weeks ago, the acts would look uncomfortable when he was sitting next to them on Xtra.

If even half of what's being reported is true - and it seems that what happened this weekend at least is true - then I don't blame them at all for choking on every word they have to say about him.

Nice to see David Poole is sticking up for his barren ex wife?

Oh... right... they manipulated the press too and weren't really split up and utilised having no children as a ploy to try and cynically gain a 'sob story'

Oh please. Private GPs are always available.

Having said that, I don't believe a word of it re the sore throat.

Ok this is what I don't understand, if Chris was too ill to attend tonight then why was there no mention of him at all in either programme? Ie) "Chris can't be here tonight due to ill health, we all wish him a speedy recovery". Instead all we got was silence and the odd reference to him when he had to be mentioned. Loved James Arthur saying "I thought Chris Maloney won"

Also, I hate to state the obvious but a sore throat is a symptom of a hangover/drunkenness. So it doesn't prove anything - and in fact it actually implicates him.

Doesn't prove anything because as strange as it may seem it is actually possibly to get a sore throat for some reason other than being hungover.

For example he may have sung twice on national tv in the space of two hours

If he was ill I'd imagine he'd try his best to be there for the show. He claims he has a sore throat, if that was the case he could stil have stayed in Manchester and come on to congratulate the winner at the end. I'm sure if he was in the top 2 his 'illness' surely wouldn't have got in the way.

It is also possible to mime with a sore throat. Either way, having a doctor's note saying he had a sore throat proves absolutely nothing either way - and seeing as him having a sore throat would fit just fine with the idea of him having a wild night, it does actually make it look more true, no matter of anyone's individual opinion.
