She might have been in the finals?

Just had a look at her placings, she was 5th, 5th, 7th, so i think she will have come about 6th/7th overall. But no it finished on time, just there was no double elimination needed.

I think the producers just couldn't wait to get this year over and done with. They could have added another week by doing one of those charity "no one goes home this week" weeks. Or maybe they wanted to avoid an anti-x factor xmas number one farce again.
Who knows what goes on in the dark minds of the X Factor producers. |

Yes I was wondering this. I thought it usually finishes one week before Strictly, not two. (And the Strictly final is always on the last saturday before xmas.)

No there would have either been 4 in the final or a double

They probably want an extra week to sell more singles/downloads to stop Facebook users getting a prank song voted in as no1.
Edit: Actually thinking about it, spreading the sales over 2weeks might not be so good for a Christmas no1 as most of the sales will probably be in the first week so come Christmas week sales/downloads might have slowed down. |

No, they were already a contestant up because of Maloney. There'd probably have been a double elimination or four in the final.

Nope, as others have said there'd have either have been a double or four in the final.
Don't forget Manchester Central would've had to have been booked months ago (I believe it was announced in August), so they'd have needed to know a date or else some other show could've taken it before them. |

It finished the same weekend last year. I was on my staff do (which is a week later this year) and one of the girls I work with had her hubby texting her updates, the only reason I remember it!
