You can't blame them really - I'd be incredulous too - he repeatedly beat James, Jahmene, Lucy, Ella, in fact anyone with any talent....... Well it just proves one thing - people who vote the most have no taste

Obviously he can sing, because he got through to the live shows, but he sings without connection to the lyrics, without tenderness, without feeling. He's the musical equivilant of painting by numbers.

Kye didn't like him at all. I remember they were on Xtra Factor together and Kye was so uncomfortable around him.

We just have to be grateful that people came to their senses for the final! However, I'm truly shocked that he had as much support as he did all those weeks. Maybe he was getting the sympathy vote all along.

Get over the fact there are many people who appreciate a good singer!!!! One who has good diction without mumbling the lyrics and one who doesn't need to ad lib all through a song to make an impact.

Especially when Caroline and Olly asked him about Christopher calling him "a tw*t" at Rylan's birthday party. He looked like he'd rather be anywhere else than being enveloped in Christopher's OTT hug-for-the-cameras.

Well the fact remains that the majority of the younger generation actually appreciate older music. An example would be Mary Byrne - she didn't destroy classics. Chris did. We all have a soft spot for Abba for example regardless of age and yet Chris's rendition of Fernado was singularly THE worst rendition of any Abba song I had ever heard.

The point is that Chris had been voting for himself...there's no other way he could have got so many more votes than even Jahmene. He played a dirty game - simple as that.

he can sing, but he is a cruise ship , cabaret / function artist not an album star .

I think many voted for him as they felt sorry for him, bought into the whole nervy Nana loving persona and were sticking two fingers up to the judges.

I imagine he is very much regretting his temper tantrum now and regretting the Tweets he later deleted to ITV and Gary Barlow, thats one thing he excelled at and should be in the Guiness Records for , quickest possible time to burn your bridges with no hope of return, silly silly boy.

According to Daybreak/Lorriane ( not sure which one as I had it on when getting ready for work) this morning he had tweeted to both Gary and ITV

Dan Wootton‏@danwootton

WOAH RT @ChrisMaloney77
@TheXFactor @xfactorpress @GBarlowOfficial can't believe all the bull.this is a witch hunt for defo.the show is over

He then deleted it but dan Wootton retweeted it

Dan Wootton‏@danwootton

How long before @ChrisMaloney77 claims his Twitter account has been hacked into? He'll be dropped from the tour now. #xfactor

Obviously Maloney realised his mistake which is why he did then try and get in last night but they wouldn't let him , dont blame them personally.

I'm sure he's especially jealous now considering how wonderfully Chris' life is going now that the show is over

How curious. What has age got to do with it unless you assume everyone over a certain age decided by you is witless and lacking in all taste and can only manage to take cheesey karaoke acts. You may think Chris has been insulted but insulting 'older' people doesn't make it better.

He was beyond awful and I'd question anyone that didn't look stunned on finding out how much he was supported. Though I suspect by it was an anti X Factor vote and carried out by all ages.

No the anti-X Factor vote would have gone to Rylan because it's not so obvious to people watching that we've had 2 joke acts this year.

And I agree about the whole young/old thing. I hate it how older people think we younger people can't appreciate older music like ABBA, Jackson 5, The Bangles, Beatles, Pink Floyd etc when loads of us love that stuff. It's a massive generalisation. It's not that we don't appreciate Maloney because he sings in an old-fashioned way, we don't like him because a) he's a dick, b) he can't sing.

What age group do you consider "younger" and "older"? A real question... As I'm curious ...I don't know what group I'm supposed to fit into... I love all types of music
