Last year Nicole Scherzinger had a shambolic X Factor experience in the US.

This year she has had the great opportunity to get a second go, win over the UK public with her personal brand of lunacy, create brand new superlatives, get two people to the final; first and second place and heroically save Jarmeyne's duet after mic failure.

She has raised her profile to a huge extent in order to re-launch her pop career in the New Year.

See you next year on the X Factor, sweetpea.

I really hope she returns. With a stronger female counterpart.

I loved her... was so worried because of her US X Factor role, but she's been fantastic!

Agreed. Nicole is probably the only thing I've enjoyed this year. She is schamazeballzingable.

I would have watched her more had she been there from the outset for all the auditions and my fave finalist (Carolynne) not lost her place so soon.

Much as I like some of Nicole's music, I had found her personality a bit bland but did like her on the Jonathan Ross Show that time.

I love Nicole, she's the only reason besides James I watched this show.

I would love to see Kelly coming back. Kelly and Nicole would be awesome. I wouldn't mind Mrs O either but Sharon has tendency to fight with her younger female judges (ahem Dannii). To be fair with Dannii I don't really blame her.

Tbh the only reason I watched.Never really watched the auditions because she was usually on for half then it was another judges the next half so only started watching the live shows.
I hope we see more of her even if its not on the xfactor I wish her well for whatever she does. Its a shame she's so underrated hopefully that all changes though.

If she does return though I think it will all have had to do with how well she did in the show and where her acts got placed.Isnt she the only one to be a newcomer and have two acts in the final ? Or did danni do the same when she was new on the show ?

When she was first announced as a judge I was like "how boring and predictable can the X factor get?" But she's proved me so wrong! She's amazing!

Dannii did the same as a newcomer in Series 4 with Leon and Rhydian.

However, unlike Dannii, Nicole has proven herself to be entertaining. Dannii was just really boring and would have preferred Sharon a lot more. In the row, Simon should have choosen Sharon really. Nicole makes jokes that are actually funny (unlike her airheady performance on the US version), she's so dedicated to her contestants (which she did even in the US version with Josh and the older woman who always cried) and she's got pipes (Phantom of the Opera ). Love you now Nicole!

It was great to see she wasnt intimidated by being the newcomer and that she wasnt afraid to act the way she did Pretty impressive though that the time she has been on x factor uk and us she has had 3 finalists

And then a year later, Danni got the Overs...I wonder if Nicole will get the Overs in the next Series...

I have to admit I was very disappointed when she was announced as Kelly's replacement back in May, thinking how dull it was and how we could've had someone like Katy Perry instead, and of course how awful she was in the states, but I have to say she has really shone from the live shows onwards. I stand corrected.

Even with the Overs, Nicole has shown that it's possible to be strong in that category. In the US version, Josh Krajcik or whatever his surname was came 2nd (but this more due to the fact he was good) and he was in the Overs mentored by Nicole! So you never know...

I must confess I had the same response when I heard she was going to be a judge. I remember thinking the choice was uninspired and we felt like we were getting a cast-off from the US version. Well I have to say their loss was our gain as she has been a complete revelation. I'm so glad she did the show - she's one of my favourite XF judges ever.

I never saw her in the US Xfactor. Has she changed from then or was she just badly received by the US public?

Terrible on US XF, utterly shamazing on UK XF. Brought vitality to a flagging show and I hope she's invited back.

Some of the stuff on that show was SHAMbolic! They had:

1) A Welsh presenter - nothing wrong with that in itself but with the reasoning why Cheryl had to leave in the first place, a Welsh host on American ground wouldn't have been that great. Also he was really bad at presenting. It made me realize how good Dermot is at his job.

2) SERIOUSLY BAD EDITING - and they still do with clips of Paula sometimes on stage and a second later back in her judging seat. They also do it at random moments too, 1 minute the Welsh guy was talking to the judges, the other he was on stage with the finalists ready to announce the act with the least votes (told in the most annoying manner possible).

3) The most annoying judge ever - Paula Abdul who for some reason Simon decided to bring along because of her alrightish performance in American Idol. Her comments were nothing but senseless and boring. Not to mention she was crazy and emotional at the most inappropriate of times. Also did I forget to mention, she's probably the most irrelevant person on a judging panel?

4) Bieber's boss, LA Reid who makes even Bieber seem bearable. He also had this weird thing where he would need to read his notepad for every little word he was about to say. It was like, READ 'The Act' READ 'I'm going to send home' READ 'Now' READ READ READ 'Both were good but' READ 'I need to go with my heart on this one' READ 'You meant some serious business' READ READ READ...until I just didn't care anymore.

5) AND then to top it all off we had the most cookie/hippie/dreamworld judge in the world who literally lived on her own planet - Nicole Scherzinger. Yes she was BAD in this show. She made the most cringing emotional comments. Talked about rainbows. Talked about rocking the stage far too much. Talked about emotions far too much. And made some of the worst decisions to keep Marcus Canty in (a guy who was in the bottom 2 like 3 times). Not to mention her song choices for the best voice of the series - Josh was surprisingly in her category - were the worst. She was bad. To top it off, she voted off Rachel Crowe against an average guy who had been in the bottom a previous 3 times and Rachel Crowe was amazing.

However, straight after that she was booed, she cried like crazy on stage and off stage. To make matters worse, Rachel (being a 13 year old girl) cried too. The audience got angry and were fuming. Nicole got loads of death threats and horrible messages sent to her in Twitter. The Americans just basically rejected her. They really looked like they hated her.

I have to confess when I saw her coming to X Factor UK I like previous posters thought that she would do the same in the UK version. I was proven so wrong though. And she has in fact been the highlight of this series for me. She no longers makes cringing jokes and actually makes me laugh (or maybe the cringe has grown on me?), she comments about VOCAL technique (no more stuff about flying heaven and rainbows), she's kept her emotions in check (not crying after every decision is made), mentored Jahmene and James so well with good song choices and probably vocal tech (she was hurting Josh in the US version I felt).

Anyways I feel so bad now, because the US version just put her in such a bad light, I just think she's proven that she can change and I for one have become a fan
