Cannonball would have been a great choice for James?
As much as I love the girls I'll admit Cannonball was one of the weakest winners single....I mean the song does not represent them at all (They even left off their album lol). However Impossible suits their sound more....(shame really!) Cannonball would have suited James singing style really well imo. Oh well good luck to James! |

Cannonball was an odd choice for them but tbh at the time who would of said a girl group would of won? Didn`t they just have that one song as winners single for both them and Marcus? i doubt they had another song ready for them :/

Impossible is a bit of an odd choice. I still prefer XFUSA's Fifth Harmony (or whatever their name was) version during judges' houses.

James could have done Cannonball acoustic but thinking of the songs, maybe if they had Little Mix-Impossible and James-Cannonball they'd be accused of copying the originals James'/LM's takes on the songs are a bit different.

I agree that "Impossible" would've suited Little Mix and James could've sung "Cannonball". I could've tolerated James singing the latter, as it's his style, and the one he has got is definitely suited to a female singer. It's like the producers messed up and got the 2011 and 2012 winner's song mixed up! That is, ignoring the fact that Jahmene, Christopher and Union J had their own songs.
"Impossible" was of course by Shontelle and covered by Fifth Harmony on The X Factor USA, whilst Luke Lucas, with his unbroken voice, sang at it Judges' Houses on the UK show and Cher Lloyd recorded it for her potential winner's single. It's a female song! |
