Why do people keep downloading and paying for mariah carey and the pogues. Dont everyone have a copy of these by now. Who keeps buying them year after year and making them chart.

I have always wondered it too. Clearly people delete them by Jan 1st and then re buy them by December 1st.

Must be new people buying the songs as clearly anyone who deletes a song and buys it again every year has an IQ lower dead fish.

If you downloaded it from iTunes though you can download a replacement. And surely a copy will be in the recycle bin.

I own a lot of the same songs as my parents. If I like something, I want my own copy. Don't want to keep borrowing it everytime I want to hear it.

It was a lot easier for example just to buy The Beatles' back catalogue instead of having to lend it from them all the time

As long as you have the same Apple ID all the time that will work. Maybe some people empty their Recycle Bin (Windows)/Trash (Mac OSX) and forget that the files are there. If you back up your stuff often though (as you should) and/or use something like iCloud then the files would be there all the time ready so getting them back onto your PC or Mac wouldn't be a problem.

I don't understand it either. All they need to do is turn on the damn radio in December and they'll get to hear the whole lot of them within the hour.

Is it? I've never heard that it's cool to buy songs you already own again.
