He said to James don't let anyone tell you what to do.

I hope that he can be his own person and not have to toe the Syco line by churning out what they want.

I read an article from telly mix, that james had made it very clear to bosses that if he won he will want to do his own stuff.

I think he will do his own stuff. He said when interviewed that he already has lots of songs and music written and he hopes to put them on his album. He has for the most part stayed true to himself throughout the XFactor and I see no reason why he would change now.

This is what will cause issues..Simon likes complete control and others have been dropped when they have stood up to him and said they want to do their own stuff.

Probably... For me when James releases his own stuff is when I will judge how good he is..

You've hit the nail on the head. I think James will have a good try and may try to resist doing what Simon wants him to do, but, at the end of the day, Simon (directly or indirectly) will be his employer and the contract will be too tight to let James have much control.

Another thread made the point that Jahmene is the real winner as his contract isn't already signed and he therefore has the option of negotiating what he wants to do, and I'd agree with that.

James said he would have complete creative control and artistic license over the album on This Morning

I think he might be in for a shock...

Others said the same and look where they are now....

I read that James has his album written and would like it recorded as soon as possible.
