Also as I have said before Maloney is not as obvious as Rylan as the joke act this series so the anti-XFactor vote would have gone to Rylan NOT Maloney.”

I can't believe I'm even entertaining this but..

Assuming he was getting 20,000 votes a week (20% of 10% of the votes cast during the semi-final, it was likely twice this), given the 24 hour time frame the lines are open for, he'd have to be voting once every 4.3 seconds without fail, non stop for all 24 to keep himself in. Even if that was remotely manageable, if that amount of calls were coming from the same number every week there's no way neither the adjudicator or the regulator would investigate.

It would also have cost him 7 grand a week, 70 during the semi-final. 25% more than the BGT prize fund over the course of the series not even including the final.

I totally agree with you, it was made very clear that 'a vote for James' was a 'vote against Christopher'.

Not exactly an ideal way to win a talent competition, being voted for to stop someone else from winning.

He did admit to voting for himself but there's no way he could have gotten that amount of a percentage of votes every week by voting for himself a lot!

Something clearly happened and I'm not one for conspiracy theories or that we're all sheep apart from the person identifying as so

Chris was the wild card, the people's choice and I think some felt sorry for him and maybe saw a kind of Susan Boyle figure but when he got through and only received negative feedback from the judges I'm convinced he was the popular anti X factor vote. Yes there was Rylan but I think he had actual fans as he was quite likeable but not enough fans to see him through.

The bad press for Chris was there almost from the word go and the dislike shown from his colleagues on the show. There has to be something to this and his antics since his elimination highlight some of this.

I think when it came down to it and as there were fewer to vote for, true fans of music did the decent thing and voted for someone they'd actually enjoy listening to.

they've been derailing christopher way before that but he's always tops... til that week reality of B2 jolted complacent JA fans to actually vote from then on.

either that or a week-long PR campaign *after ella left you said* that could actually catapult a B2 to the very top with a MASSIVE margin...? (that quick a result in just a week after weeks of trying but failing??)

take your pick...

Don't worry it shall all make sense

1) Topping the vote: I'm talking about weeks 1-7 when he topped the total votes. I bet the total votes were incredibly low. If there were only 40000 votes per week from weeks 1-7. Then it's conceivable.
2) Accomplices: He didn't work alone, he had Menan, Satan, his parents, and his children.
3) Money: He actually comes from a wealthy family, his parents could probably do it, Menan's pension/life savings, and then Maloney's life savings himself/loans/trust fund (his parents are wealthy).
4) Alibi: He gives himself an alibi tbh EVERY Sat night: don't you remember hearing all the contestants of X Factor saying that Chris is all by himself/alone that 'all the X Factor contestants are close bar Maloney'. He also has a tendency to get drunk. So he pretends to get drunk on the Sat night when the lines open.
5) Time frame: He puts his voting number on speed dial. He also has like 10 accomplices let's not forget. So he can do it in 1/10th of the normal time. He and his accomplices get to work and with that kind of manpower they can get 20000 in about 6000 seconds.

For £125k he could have probably released an album himself
