I can't believe I'm even entertaining this but..
Assuming he was getting 20,000 votes a week (20% of 10% of the votes cast during the semi-final, it was likely twice this), given the 24 hour time frame the lines are open for, he'd have to be voting once every 4.3 seconds without fail, non stop for all 24 to keep himself in. Even if that was remotely manageable, if that amount of calls were coming from the same number every week there's no way neither the adjudicator or the regulator would investigate.
It would also have cost him 7 grand a week, 70 during the semi-final. 25% more than the BGT prize fund over the course of the series not even including the final.
