James, best winner ever?
I think so.
I have never bought an xfactor winners song or any other song that any winner has ever released but I have with James and know that I will in the future. Finally a credible act!! His vocals are multi genre and that means interesting IMO. Soulful, rocky, bluesy etc, etc. It is refreshing to have a winner that is not a one trick pony or a totaly studio made vocalist/group from the show (although little Mix are pretty Kool). He so deserved it!! |

I remember watching James wailing his way through an Abba song and a cover version of a cover version of a John Lewis advert.
I thought to myself, finally a credible act on Xfactor. |

For sure. He's by far the best winner imo and his style of music is exactly the type I'd listen to. Can't wait to see what he does after the show!

Think he's appealed to a lot of people who are not typical XF viewers or buyers of music from XF. Seen that phrase repeated a lot on Twitter from people aged 18-30 or so: 'I don't like XF but...' and then praise for James, say they've downloaded their first ever XF song etc
The fact people like Labrinth and Ed Sheeran back him will help as well because some people do need to be told what to like and if those artists like him/think he's credible then fans of those artists will too. |

Second only to Leona in my estimation, and equally as consistent as her while appearing in the show.
I'm not keen on his winner's song however - I don't like the song, dreary, with a poor melody, I worried he'd been thrown to the wolves when I heard him perform it. Looking forward to hearing his album, but I'll be giving the single a miss. |

He can hit that top A in Marvin Gaye's song. He's brilliant. Also he can he use his falsetto voice really well, none of the other acts besides Jahmene and Lucy demonstrated they could use a powerful Falsetto even your beloved Chris. The best, most original and most credible act to win the X Factor. |

Probably the best male winner of X Factor ever. I won't deny that.

I have never liked any act that came from X Factor, winner or not. But I liked James and he was the reason that for the first time ever, I watched XF all the way through!!! So for me he is the best winner.

Absolutely no way is James the best ever winner. Whilst I can see that he has other attributes, he is easily the worst singer

Yea must be.
Look at his competition in final: Marvin 'Jahmene' Gaye and Neil 'Maloney' Diamond. Strongest of competition.

Exactly why some people should just stay underground for the rest of their lives.
