2013: What films are you looking forward to?
Note: All the films I mention are not guaranteed to be released in 2013 or at all.
Kick Ass 2 Adored the furst film and so looking forward to this sequel. Oz the great and Powerful Looks gorgeous and a nice new take on The Wizard of Oz theme. Thor 2 Hearing all sorts of positive things so far and it's looking pretty darn good. Deadpool IT'S DEADPOOL! Star Trek Into Darkness Star Trek woohoo! Hopefully without any delays we should get to see the second of the modern Star Trek Movies in 2013. Evil Dead Mixed feelings about this. I love the Evil Dead films a hell of a lot and so dubious of a remake but the trailer I've seen does look promising and I love horror so fingers crossed. Iron Man 3 What can I say loved the first two movies so this is a must watch for me. The Justice League Salivates. Just hope they don't do a Green lantern on it. Other films I'm looking forward to in 2013 Devil May Cry The Seventh Son Carrie GI Joe 2 Oblivion Superman Man of Steel World War Z Despicable Me 2 Wolverine 2 Rush Paranormal Activity 5 Anchorman 2 Aquaman Annie Austin Powers 4 Fist of Legend The Monkey King Mama Tiger and Bunny Kaze Tachinu (The Wind Rises) Kaguya-Hime no Monogatari (Princess Kaguya Story) Doctor Strange Flash Mad Max 5 Myst Sherlock Holmes 3 Splinter Tron 3 Venom War Machine Zombies vs Robots |

There's only two that I'm really looking forward to seeing - Despicable Me 2 and Carrie.
Everything else is just a bit "meh" for me. |

It's like american movies are being produced for a world audience first and foremost.
Is there a future in that? |

I mist have missed Le Mis.
I've never seen the stage play and only know it really through the songs and I love the songs. I'm so adding that now. |

The big studio conglomerates are producing a lot of movies for a global audience because they *are* conglomerates. And, of course, that effects the majority of movies they bankroll -- mostly action movies, horror, pratfall comedy, sci fi, and fantasy. You get less well-done dramas -- unless involving a lot of blood & guts -- or slice of life and witty, contextual comedies. The latter three are left up to the artsy producers and the indies to make. So, they're released in the U.S. but may not be released in many other countries, especially non-English speaking. That being said, I wouldn't say that Lincoln or Silver Linings Playbook were particularly made for an international audience.

I'm not feeling the remake of Oldboy. The original is too darn good imo to be remade. I could be surprised though. |

The only ones I'm looking forward to are:
- A Good Day To Die Hard (that’s Valentine’s Day next year sorted then. No arguments “What the hell’s this?! A pirate gun?!” Lmao seems the old school humour is back ) - The World’s End (by the ‘Shaun of the Dead’ team. Hopefully it’s better than ‘Hot Fuzz’) - Carrie (remake – Chloe Grace Moretz is a sound actress though so this should, hopefully, be a decent remake) - Kick Ass 2 (not sure about this one tbh. I really liked the first one and I cannot stand superhero films. Will have to see) No other films that have been announced or rumoured for next year interest me yet tbh. Seems like there’s a load of fantasy (The Hobbit etc), Teeny-Weeny stuff (The Hunger Games) and superhero stuff (Spiderman 2, X-men, Avengers 2, Ant-Man etc) coming out and I ain’t at all interested in those types of films Wish they would make decent films for people that aren’t superhero geeks!
