Lots of funny bits so far: Mike saying "If that dosen't work tell her there's a buffet!" Sophies invisible friend, Kelly dancing, Janice snogging Mike, Hayley drunk and Angela's teeth along with finally seeing her neck!

i enjoy anything with chesney/cilla/les and the websters
and there were both; plus a development in the karen/steve/amy/"leo" storyline - great!

This is just too funny!! Up there with the barbeque episodes and another one I've forgotten (the one where Blanche says, "food's not up to much, Betty's losing her touch" - what episode was that?) for funniest of the year..

Well until the Karen stuff, poor cow

but the factory girls, the Chesney/Cilla/Websters stuff and the Candice thing is it just so funny!

"You're not sending me to that snobs school are you?"
"What's it to you?"

LOL

That was a really great episode. Carmel Morgan's an excellent writer Every scene had a great line or moment. I loved Danny telling Hayley she was the real life and soul of the party and she believed him and then "Roy and I tend to circulate" drawing shocked looks

Loved the Cilla/Ches/Les, Candice/Leanne stuff

And then the dramatic end. The second one should be good

Mike has been hilarious tonight, first kissing Janice, then offering to kiss the other girls, his face when Sean tried to kiss him, and then saying to Janice he is not going to be like he usually is anymore

Do you think it was a coincidence the camera went straight from Angela's comedy teeth to Sonia's real ones?

I know, LOL.

Can't beleive how funny Candice was especially in the salon...so far this whole "Footballer's Wife" wannabe routine has been ridiculous, but tonight it was so well-scripted.

Just one line for example, can't remember the exact words, but something like:

"I could end up getting fat, you know, like a size 10 or something"

Well the second episode was brilliant too. The comedy with Tyrone/Fred/Martin, Candice/Leanne and Cilla/Les again and then the drama with Karen at the end. Great acting from Suranne Jones.

Awww, that was so sad It was like Billy all over again The look on Steve's face as it became apparent that Leo wasn't present on the scan, and then the anguished scream from Karen when she was told that she had miscarried...

Really sad, but nicely balanced with some great humour- I loved the whole Sophie and Ebony Ray thing, especially when Sally hoovered her up and Sophie accused her of being a murderer! I'm also loving Fred, Martin and Tyrone as Ashley's three best men, so funny!

Overall thought the episodes were good tonight.

Best bits:-

The look on Karen's face when she first realised something was wrong.

Les & Cilla, of course.

Mad Mad Sally - and Kev's imaginery friend Eric!

Like Polly Perkins in another thread, I thought Sophie's imaginery friend and the darts were a bit flat. Just realised tonight that the 3 Best Men is Corrie's version of the 3 Wise Men at Christmas.

Worst part (but not really Corrie) was that bastard ITV1 announcer prior to the 2nd episode. "Tragedy for Karen as her dreams of a family are cruelly dashed". Cheers mate, don't have to bother watching your channel for the next 30 mins now!

Loved 95% of both but absolutely hate the whole 'best man' storyline, completely contrived and, for me, doesn't work. Other than that, ended up with a tear in my eye during the Steve/Karen scenes, loved the whole Xmas party at Underworld and Sean going in to kiss Balwin was hilarious.

Agree totally. The three wise men/ best men story line is very tedious..........as are Claire and Ashley too so its actually quite fitting I suppose. Felt so sorry for Karen and Steve over loosing their baby. Last night in the Rovers was the first time I saw Steve actually get into the I'm going to be a Dad theme and then it was so cruelly taken away from both of them. Candice is so funny, she is such a fool " they might get a bad shot of you and make you look huge. Like a size 10 or something".

i thought the first episode was pointless. 2nd one was a bit better, but still could easily have been missed and you wouldnt have missed much.

Brillant episodes! Seenf Janice on Mikes lap had me and my mum in stitches....then when Sean went to kiss Mike...Haha!!!

Sally the murderer...hahaha!!! Was funny to see Kevin and Sally playing along, haha!!!!

Karen is such a good character, played so well. I could almost feel her heartbreak at losing "Leo". And Steve, his face said it
all.

What I don't like is this best man story. Claire and Tyrone should be together!!! What drips! Am I right in thinking that Claire asked Tyrone to be best man? Who made her the groom?!? Also...why on EARTH would Tyrone be best man? Whenever Ashley goes out on a "boys night out", Martin always goes...not Tyrone! I can't stand this character, he really annoys me...clingy, sad, sap!!!
