Should they get a young male judge?
They always have older male judges. And I think a younger male judge would be a good idea, I'm not talking One Direction or JLS. But maybe someone like one of the McFly boy's would be a good idea?

I hate the idea of McFly on X-Factor, but there aren't many prominent young male popstars out there right now.
I think Michael Buble could be a good judge. I don't like his music much, but he's got a good voice, is a long term friend of the show, and is always charming and entertaining in interviews. Alternatively, they could go down the American Idol route and try and snag an old rocker like Jon Bon Jovi. Don't know how amenable he would be to a show like X-Factor though. |

Someone made a thread a few weeks ago suggesting Harry Judd should be a judge which I thought was a ludicrous idea at first, however thinking about it he's got a really great personality and I think he'd actually work really well as a judge. Not sure how he'd do as a mentor though...

There's lots of young British guys who would be more interesting than Gary (and more popular than Tulisa for a start) such as Tinie Tempah, Plan B, Labrinth, Calvin Harris, Ed Sheeran, JLS, One Direction, The Wanted heck even Tinchy Stryder or Dappy.

I'd love Ed Sheeran. I think he'd be really good.

Would love to have Calvin Harris as a judge. Knowing Cowell, it'd be Justin Bieber.

Someone like Justin Timberlake or Usher would be amazing! Unfortunately the UK doesn't really have any REALLY successful male singers aged 25-30 ish

Tom Fletcher!
Brilliant singer, guitarist, good personality, has enough experience having been in the business nearly 10 years and he's written 10 number one singles and 21 top ten singles. |

Craig David, have no idea what his personality is like but his 'Born to Do It' album is a British classic! Though the 16 years olds may have no idea who he is

In my opinion... Louis (as he always has to be there), Danni, Mel B and Taio Cruz. I reckon that could be a decent lineup.

I don't think Simon would hire him, wasn't there a period were they didn't talk to much after he won Pop Idol? I could be wrong. I got the impression they didn't get on well,, or maybe they do now?

I think it was only the beginning of this year that Simon gave that interview where he claimed he didn't like Will and wasn't happy he won so I'm guessing nothing has improved between them.

I actually really like this idea.
It would change the predictable dynamic. adding in the a young, fun lad would really lighten the mood. If we brought back Simon to keep things somewhat serious, but replaced Louis with someone with equal comedy value but less stale, it'd be much more fun to watch. The McFly boys are really good suggestions, but anyone of this sort of age would be great. Plus we've seen from the voting that it would appeal to the viewers. |

Yes. They should also add a female record executive. The fact that they keep hiring lady artists only is a bit narrow.

If you can write 10 number 1s at the age of 23, then you're doing very very well. He should be replacing Louis, but he'll probably replace Gary.
