I can't see us winning the Europa League for the same reason, this is what I was really worried about after losing to Swansea - we're knackering our limited squad out with these pointless cup runs that come to nothing, and then jeopardizing the Champs league spot.

I think we should sacrifice top 4 to win the Europa league.

That might sound silly, but, as pointed about before, during, and after every bloody game, the players need rest, and we have more league games left that European games. Makes more sense to play the youth team in the league IMO.....Mata, Hazard etc.. can spend the next few months with their feet up and come back better than ever next season to secure top 4 and not win anything ever.

The price of actually having a chance of winning things unlike most of the teams in the league.

We have become a game so obsessed with where our team finish in the league that we have forgot the true point of the game.

We only look like a team who has played more games when Rafa has his tactics wrong. When he changed them (too late) we scared the hell out of 2nd best team in the country,

This is an interesting viewpoint no doubt - the only thing I'd say is that we're always winning s**t, we're Chelsea and we have a billionaire owner.

If I was an Arsenal supporter then maybe I'd entertain what you're saying here.

It was not so long Arsenal was always winning s**t, They got complacente and we are in danger of doing the same.

It use to be us Utd and Arsenal with the biggest balls in the playground and nobody came close, Now City,Spurs have come along with some fairly big balls add Everton hovering around. We start to count on always winning things and we will be where the Arsenal fans are

Don't agree - there's a huge difference in that Arsenal stopped spending money, while we have it coming our of our arses.

Yeh, but as you said earlier, if we try to win stuff we run the risk of finishing...*gasp*...5th!!

Why take the risk?

Now we've got this far, we might as well go for the Europa League as well. That's my opinion anyway.

I used to play on Saturday morning, Saturday afternoon, and then again on Sunday..and I had to clean my own boots. Don't know they're born these days.

The tiredness excuse is really quite weary in itself. Look at the likes of Messi and Ronaldo, how often do they have a rest?

Thought the point of football was to win "stuff"?

and thats not being complacent???

What happens if we stop spending money?

Our highlight of the 2012/13 season is finishing 4th? Sounds like the same sort of thing we chuck at Arsenal fans to me

While i do agree, We do have to factor it in as well. Its not the major issue people trying to make it but at this stage of the season the little knocks and niggles you suffer playing do take longer to heal and can turn into more serious issues. But with good management like for examaple using more then one sub in a semi final match it can be coped with.

Shame we dont have good management

I wonder how messi would do against cloggers and reducers week after week?

They are protected in spain.

Most cfc supporters will tell you we got there in spite of rafa, not because of him.

His tactics and lack of subs/ effort to change things when its clearly not working have actually cost us points/ games.

Given the teams we was drawn against 2 semis was the least i expected and 3rd/4th again is the min requiement given the tools he has.

Never said anything about bad management, ok management might be acceptable for some clubs but for a team with the recent pedegree of Chelsea ok is not something we look to.

Yes but at the same time we have gained points/wins due to him

But its alabout balance and in my view and other Chelsea (and non Chelsea) fans the balance is in the wrong way

no need for a manager at any club if players can do well in spite of them

problem solved.

Some people you like (or care using your words) and some people you just think "nope he a ****", Rafa to many (many) people is one of those you just think "naaaa" about.

Jose has a different personality then Rafa (some might say thats because he actually has one but i not mean).

Jose has style, Rafa has the look of a boring bank manager about him.

People are going to like Jose more then Rafa for what they bring to the club, Jose is like a breath of fresh air in football.

Jose you are never sure what he is going to do as manager with his players/team selection etc. Rafa you can pretty much tell what he is going to do.

i understand disliking personalities but to say rafa is a bad manager makes some fans look childish because he clearly isnt

europa league win and he leaves happy and you guys can remember his time fondly even if you would rather not!

saying someone is a good or bad manager (i have never used bad for Rafa) for a club is a fine line.

AVB was not a good manager for us, He is a very good manager for Spurs.

It depends on the clubs expecations. Rafa was never going to meet the expecations of Chelsea fans (or in time the board) because while he is a decent manager (think he would be a good fit for Spurs/Everton and the clubs around there) but would not be a good manager for Chelsea/Arsenal/City or Utd.

EUROPA cup win would not make us remember his time fondly as I would fully expect to win or at least get to the final with the teams left and the team Chelsea have at the moment. Avam got us to a pen kick of winning the Champions League and a win over Utd but dont mean I think of him as a top manager.

Some fans seem to think us calling Rafa not good enough to manage Chelsea as a insult, Its not its just that in the current time Chelsea are looking for a manager who could be or is currently amongt the best around, Rafa is not a member of that list and looking at his past he is very unlikely to ever get on that very short list
