Great result and a goal from Torres and it was great to see Ivo score as he missed the Champions League Final last year.

Fully support your first sentence, but i honestly don't give a toss about the Super Cup.
Anyway, i don't want to end on a sour note, so really, really well done to everyone involed. The lads must be near to running on empty by now, but they just keep going and never know when they are beaten!
The sheer physical effort they have put in since Christmas has been fantastic! The quality isn't always there, but they've made up for it with spirit!
Know you lot hate the guy but the thought of giving him a crack at the Champions League next season must have at least crossed your mind.

We didnt have the legs in the first half - this has been the story of the latter half of the season though, a symptom of too many games. However i was surprised at how fit they looked at the final whistle, the benfica players seemed knackered and were cramping after 70 minutes. It looked like they just couldn't sustain it.
A fantastic goal by Torres, and also by Ivan to win.
On a few seasons where he is not firing on all seasons, it is amazing that torres currently holds:

Rafa was the wrong appointment, i stick by my previous statements that he has lost us more games than he has won with his "by the book substitutions". I note that he made no subs yesterday and we won the game!

However, i will wish him luck in his future endeavors instead of boo'ing him.
It is odd that for the fans desperate for Rafa to come back to their team, they chose a manager who had won nothing. More fool them.

Sir, i think you will find that most forum members posting on an internet football forum will have an opinion on how the club should be run, the transfers they make and the formation they play.

I think we all like to play football manager, it wouldn't be much fun coming on here if we didn't. It was good to see a change from from Rafa's usual policy of "80 minutes gone, time to bring on Benayoun" anyway.
