All chelsea fans should take a deep breath, we currently hold the two biggest trophies in club football.

Its never happened before, it will probably never happen again.

What a wonderful achievement.

It really has been quite a week for us. Fergie going and them appointing a manager who has won absolutely nothing. Man City sacking their manager - and Arsenal not sacking theirs.

It simply could not have gone any better.

Who will be in charge of our ridiculous post-season tour?

It could if we announce Mourinho by Sunday night

Remind me what the last manager you sacked had won as a manager before you secured the double last season?

I was wondering that too. Whether Rafa would still have that duty to fulfill before his contract expires, or if it'd just be Steve Holland filling in.

We should just leave the important players at home for that tour. Send over the likes of Hilario, Turnbull, Ferreira, Benayoun etc before their contracts run out.

Absolutely

Burnt-out players like torres and mata need to stay home and put their feet up

You can't really lose here can you, if Ath win, then you have Coutois as a winner, but if Real come back and win, then you have Essen as a winner!

Cortois looks top quality. What a save just now.

Some of the returning loan players, too. McEachran is already back, not sure about the others.

Fair play to Rafa and the team for securing a top 4 place and a trophy. It hasn't been easy for both the fans or the manager so it's great to see the club ending on a high. He's done what was asked of him although it would have been nice if we'd won the CWC. There were times this season where I thought we were going to miss top 4 again, thank God everything came together in the end!

Double European Champions - Has a nice ring doesn't it? Rami's son is a little cutie! Loved seeing all the players lifting Paulo in the celebrations; he's such a pro. As for JT lifting the cup in his kit, I think everyone saw that coming haha. Frank and JT side by side holding the trophy - that's just how we do things, I wouldn't have it any other way. It was quite funny reading all the comments about it, people can whine about it all they want but at the end of the day, so as long as JT keeps adding to his trophy collection he probably doesn't give a sh*t!

Just back from Amsterdam, been a great few days celebrating . 1st half we were absolutely shocking and i still cant believe we never conceded in the first half, part from last ditch defending and good goalkeeping(and terrible finishing from Benfica), and at half time i thought we were looking really rubbish and there for the taking.

Whatever rafa said/did at half time really changed things though as the players were fantastic in the second half. Great goals from Torres and Ivanovic, i couldnt believe my eyes when Torres scored, was sure he was going to scew it up but he took it really really well, great finish.

I was sure we were in for extra time after Lampard hit the bar, what a shot that was, everyone around me including Benfica fans thought it was in. Lampard was great all game, IMO even in the first half when we were poor. He did his captains role really well and helped marshal the team. Luiz had a quiet game but did his job well, he was sitting deep and protecting the defence, never got forward too much. Mata was the other stand out, just a joy to watch in the flesh.

The atmosphere was great from both sets of fans, have to applaud the benfica fans too as they were very passionate and i met some great Portuguese folk in the bars afterwards. Well done and commiserations as they looked a good team.

It is amazing to think we are the holders of the CL and EL until next week, champions of Europe indeed .

It has been a very strange season but i would have to applaud rafa too, top 4 and a trophy looked a long way away back at christmas when we were struggling, but hes turned us around and we are a much stronger side now than we were under Di Matteo. One or two addition in the summer(and loan recalls) and we can defenitely mount a serious challenge for the League.

I think Rafa will be in charge of the american tour, but hes gone after that.

Nice to see that from a Chelsea fan. Giving credit to all involved. Couldn't believe what I was hearing when after the game some chelsea fans were refusing to give Rafa the credit saying it was the players who won it. I mean really - when they win it's the players when they lose it's Rafa...not fair.”

Have always given Rafa a chance, just like every other manager we've had.

He may not have been first choice, but he's the guy Roman appointed, and so whilst it may not have been a popular choice, it's the one you support when you follow a football club.

Rafa deserves as much credit as the players. Under him we've won the Europa League and got a Champions League place, which is what was required, so fair play to him and the players for their achievements this season.

Nice to see Lamps has got the contract signed. He's fully deserved it with his superb play this season. He's shown that he can still perform at this level and he's definitely still got a part to play with the team.

It seems that Real Madrid and Mourinho are ready to move on. He hasn't had the greatest success with Madrid and the Copa Del Rey result pretty much confirmed he won't be there at the club next season.

And of course it's likely he will be returning here. Mourinho has done a lot for this club and it should be interesting to see what he can do with the team upon his return.

But as in a previous post, credit has to go to Rafa for what he's achieved this season. A Europa League trophy and a place in the Champions League. Rafa should certainly get to manage another club next season.

Currently though we have another Premier League game to play and win to confirm third place and automatic qualification in to the Champions League.

Just caught a glimpse of a story suggesting that Falcao has made up his mind about which club he is joining.

He's my early prediction for this summers most tedious transfer saga.

Lukaku filling his boots against Utd. He needs to get his chance with us next season. If he's good enough he's old enough.

Hat-trick against United. Will be an absolute joke if he's not with us next year.

What a crazy game they have there....

Agreed about Lukaku, i said we should recall him in January, but he needs to be playing with us next season.

Agree about Lukaku. Look at what he's done today and over the season.

He should definitely be at Chelsea next season.

Also good win today for the team. 3rd place secured and straight to the group stage of the Champions League.

Overall a decent season.

3rd place secured, now off to America to play Man City.....twice

Doubt Lukaku will be joining up, but it would be good for him.

Good win in the end, stepped it up after half-time. Nice to see Torres rediscover his scoring touch in the league, and Paulo have a brief cameo in his last game.
