Yep it is really that simple. We need them so they come to us.

With regards to Fellaini, you are talking about a club that has until the last day or so has had no manager, Everton is not Chelsea the way they run their club is the correct way to run a football club so Bill Kenwright was not going to sell a player without the manager being installed, How would that look to any managers they was talking to? Plus it was paper talk and anyone who believes anything they print about who Chelsea are buying selling talking to looking at or was once seen walking within 25 miles of Chelsea/Cobham or a shop that Roman buys his fruit from does not deserve access to reading matter

We have a harder time selling ourselfs to to top players when they know the manager is going to change in 6 months time, Also its a buyers market nowadays. There are 4 or 5 clubs that can pay big big big money and also dont have our tax issues.

We have to play a much smarter game nowadays when it comes to buying players, Something that the people we have in charge of buying and talking to players are unable to do because of the lack of any football intellegence

Decent option to have i think, but doesnt really solve our striker issue. More of a luxury i would say, could do a job for us and bag 15-20 goals a season though.”

Don think its hate for Hulk, Its more to do with what you said "he not a bad player". For the money we talking about he should be a great player, If you run a business and was looking for someone to work for you in a very important role and was for big wages and the person conducting the interview said "yea he was ok" would that be a reason to give the guy the job? We need to get out of the mindset of buying "ok" players and get into the mindset of buying only great players and if we can not get them making do with what he have got and or making great players from within. While i agree we do need to buy some players we should not be buying for buying sake, We need a midfielder but can not find one of a level we need so lets buy him as he "ok". If we can not buy player A well lets walk away and not buy someone for the sake of it

the last thing chelsea needs is a play of the kind hulk is.

All we need is a finisher and a midfield spoiler.

Cover for cole would be good - luke shaw?

I would be very happy with Cavani, Fellaini and Shaw. They would represent business we need and would improve the team.

We should also let go of players that we just dont need, and recall our loan players.

Lukaku, debruyne and courtois should be on the bench.

Romeu, Essien, mikkel, and marin should be shipped out along with the out of contract players like yossi and malouda.

Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis has said..
"There is interest from Chelsea in Cavani, they’ll call me in the next few hours. If Cavani is sold then I’ll reinvest all of the £53.5million of his release clause. I'll be delighted if he stays, but if he leaves then he will be adequately replaced.” (The Sun)

If there's any truth in that, we could be close to making our mega-signing. It's a lot of money, but he would make one hell of a difference to the team. Of course it could be rubbish, but it does appear to be a direct quote.

Ps..Saying the same on Sky News, so it appears to be true. But talks are still a long way from getting a contract signed.

If we sign a striker, and it not cannot be Falcao, then Cavani is the current best available striker in the world.

He would make a huge difference to our team, a strikeforce of Cavani, Torres (who seems to score in the biggest of games), Lukaku (who is at times unplayable) and Ba would be fantastic.

Cavani for "hulk" +15 million?

Again, the decision is very straightforward.

Pleeeeeeeeeeease let the rumours about Mikel be true.

I'd walk him to Turkey if it meant getting rid of him

(Could be some truth in this one. He's been here (too long) almost a decade and this is the first he's ever been rumoured for a move)

I have to admit that i do feel a bit of guilt when i have a go at Mikel.
He seems like one of those nice, happy people who's smile is never far from their face.
But still, we have to be honest and judge him as a footballer and he has simply failed to live up to expectations.

He is still apparently rated at £20m

I would take half that!

A number of Italian media sites are now saying Cavani is a "done deal". Italian media company ‘Mediaset’ reported that Chelsea had agreed a whopping*€58 million fee for highly rated striker Edinson Cavani.

If Cech gets injured or suspended, who is there to bring on, now that you have got rid of two possibilities?

Having either of them in goal would have been worse then having a under 18 keeper playing for us.

I think we lost a bet somewhere along the line and thats the reason we gave Turnbull a contract, Either that or he has some serious dirt on someone high up at club

This Cavani transfer news is certainly gathering speed. Even Sky Sports is mentioning it on their website.

We may have one of the "Big Four" strikers at our club after all. Would certainly bring a lot more goals to the team.

Delac has signed a new deal....could be coming in as back-up now that a work permit isn't an issue.

Other than that I'd offer Schwarzer a deal. No point spending big on back-up.

You might get your wish there, if you loan out Coutois again!

I don't think that will be enough for him. In my opinion, he's the best goalkeeper in Europe now. Cech had a very good season, after a couple of not so strong ones. No doubt Chelsea have two very good goalkeepers. I don't see either excepting anything less than being regular first choice, and by the sounds of it Courtois would prefer to stay in Madrid.

Cech will remain #1. An experienced #2 will be brought in for next season. Courtois will again go out in loan, but will eventually succeed Cech as #1, probably for 14/15.

Couple of news items from Sky Sports:

Lukaku is definitely staying with the club next season:

Torres also wants to stay at the club:

I hope he will stay on loan, He to good too sit on the bench and is not going to be happy playing cup games and against the bottom half league games and nor should he, He would be one of the top 3 keepers in the league.

Cech is still going to be number 1 next season and deserves to be. Also we are going to be very short of leaders and players short of experience of fighting for the league while fighting for 3 cups. We not dealing with some youngster who has never been number 1, The guy is young but has got a lot of game time under his belt and wont swap that for a league cup game against Blackpool.

We need to find ourselves another Carlo, They are out there.

We bring Coutiois back too early and play him in cup games like some fans say and he will be gone before Chelsea can sack a manager

Contracts are not worth anything. We do that and he will be off before we get to transfer deadline day

Lukaku has said - after a chat with Mourinho - that he will be staying with us next season.
Courtois has said that he'll be staying with Athletico Madrid next season.
Leverkusen are now saying that de Bruyne won't be part of the Schurrle deal because we don't want to loan him out.

I'd be more than happy with that.
