The young lad on loan at Watford looks a bit of a player.
Will he ever get a chance ?
We have won the FA Youth a couple of times yet none have got anywhere near the first team except perhaps Josh.

He's not cup-tied as he didn't play for Newcastle in their 3rd round defeat vs Man U. Here's hoping he gets another start and that Torres isn't recalled.

Beginning of the season, I wanted a top 4 finish and any silverware...the amount of transition we are going through, I think that is a very decent season. We are still on course for that...so no need for panic yet.

It's a very tough semi with Swansea so if we don't do our usual...not get going for at least half an hour....we need to put this first leg to bed!!

I noticed he started against City in their FA Cup match. Might have to go find some highlights of the match. His time will come, he just needs to keep working hard. Look at how far Bertrand has come. It's not all doom and gloom.

£22m for Fellaini if you believe the Times, who say thats his buyout clause. Bargain, sign him up.

The rumours seem to differ about a buyout clause. Nobody really appears to know even on the Everton forums.
I agree...if it's true, £22m looks a good deal. I would have thought we would probably be looking at closer to £30m in a bidding war.
We will still have to offer him very tempting personal terms, but that's never been a problem for Chelsea. But I have a feeling he will stay with Everton until the summer, just in case we fail to gain a Champions League place.

He's already moved to Manchester because of the hassle he was getting from some of the lasses from Merseyside.

No point moving again is there?

Get Fellaini in ASAP - that would be two major additions. Plus Senegal got disqualified from the African Nations so we get to keep Demba Ba

That's a nice surprise - I thought for sure he wouldn't be able to play. Just the Europa games he'll miss, then.

Could have Terry back on the bench for the weekend...it'll be interesting to see who will make way for him when he makes his return. I'll be disappointed if it's Cesar instead of Cahill - Ivanovic is much more use to us at CB, IMO, and Azpil has been doing a very good job for us at RB.

bad form shown by chelsea reject sturridge and his ridiculous pandering to his new wonderful fans.

ba has shown more in his first game than selfish row-z sturridge has in the last 12 months. what a great bit of business for cfc

I get that a new Manager/player wants to get into good books, but there are ways, and class ways. Any qualms I had about Sturridge leaving....have now disappeared...his astounding arrogance and ego, I fear, will always let him down.

Can't believe Ba's not starting! 4th least important competition, and Ba doesnt play?

Nice one Raf

Surprised the lineup is so strong, and Torres starting doesnt really surprise me, we all know that Rafa loves him and probably will continue to start him even though his form is garbage.

But Mata, Hazard and Oscar all starting shows hes taking this very seriously. I thought Luiz should be rested though, starting far too many games at the moment.

Would be nice to win comfortably tonight and put the tie to bed.

In other news Lukaku is staying put at West Brom... Hope that doesnt come back to bite us. We are still one injury/suspension away from a crisis, still stupid to only have two recognised strikers at a club like us(and one is pretty woeful these days).

Im glad Sturridge is gone after his recent comments, clearly an arrogant little s**t, hope he flops at Liverpool.

What does everyone think of Modric now? Wasnt long ago we were all praying he would join us, now hes pretty much failed at Madrid theres talk he could be on the move right now, Would we take him? Whats he worth now?

No Piazon on the bench. A player in desperate need of a loan.....

Cant see him improving Chelsea at all, waste of time imo!

£15m and I'd gladly have him here, providing it's now. If it's a deal for the summer I'd hope to find a better option.

I think purchasing Oscar made him pretty much not needed anymore. I would rather Fellaini(i think Modric would cost similar), or another defensive midfielder.
