There is a reason why we haven't seen the sending off incident, because there wasn't one!

Absolutely terrible reff'ing there, unbelievable. That does leave a bitter taste.

I suspected you would have an excuse ready to go.

No Excuse, was an awful game - we had our chances.

Take a look at the sending off again, and see what you, and an impartial observer, thinks?

Oh well, 89th minute, I don't suppose it made any difference.
I hope it doesn't mean any kind of ban though ?

did you not watch the game?

The trouble is, there was a coming together - which the ref saw and took absolutely no action whatsoever. 20 seconds later, the brazilian player is rolling on the floor and the ref bottles it!

Quite unbelievable. And no, i didnt think it changed the result so im not finding an excuse.

Nope.

I said it was a meaningless game. You built it up in expectation of winning.

If it was 1-0 to Chelsea you would be jumping around throwing phrases like "world champions" about.

Which would be my right as a fan.

Why are you trolling this fans supporters forum now?

Oh well, they can't do presentations, all looks a bit tacky. I'm glad we didn't win that load of old Argos tat.

The actual game, pitch, media, broadcasting, advertising, presentation is 5th rate!

there is little wonder that the champions league is the worlds premier tournament.

We can have a conversation, but just dont resort to goading in a supporters thread. No need to throw your toys out the pram.

That was annoying. Since we'd gone we should have been looking to win it but we looked rubbish up front again. Just irritated now.

Just have to write it off. It is a shame but what can you do.

Never forget, we are still Champions!

We just need to find a way of linking the defense and attack - and getting a goal scorer

Luiz should have started in midfield. Lampard and Luiz were the only players who showed any passion to win tonight. Everyone else was incredibly poor. Still baffled as to why Cahill was sent off but i dont think think it affected the result.

Torres was god awful, Moses and Hazard not much better, and Ramires still lacklustre with terrible passing.

Gotta pick ourselves up for the Leeds game now, can see us struggling in that game too due to jet lag etc

We need another striker or to recall Lukaku and actually play him. Piazon was on the bench and didn't get a look in so recalling Lukaku might not work, but we need a plan B for days when Torres is just not going to score like today.

Luiz was very good today in his defender role. Best player in the side and most committed. I don't think Lampard had that great a game as his distribution was off, but he'll be a bit rusty after the injury so would be expected. We should have started with the team we put out against Monterrey.

I could see that result coming a mile off, Pat Nevin : 'it should be comfortable' - I instantly thought he was talking out of his arse as these guys are the South American champions.

Still we had the chances mainly Cahill and Torres both who should have scored but ultimately we had a weak squad with limited options who've played too many games recently. I know I'm repeating myself but once again we could have done with Drogba and more midfield depth like Meireles.

Apart from their play acting they looked like a pretty decent team, really organised defensively and tough to break down with the ability to hit you on the break. Mata went missing but I think Benitez should have thrown on Oscar much earlier, Moses was pretty ineffective for most of the game - we looked much better at the end when we were forced to commit more men forward as well. Still I don't blame Benitez his hands are tied by the mistakes made earlier in the season selling/ allowing players to leave.

I know people say these cups don't matter but I'm pissed off - it's not every year you have a shot at the f*****g FIFA World Club Championship.

Stop fighting you two.

I was underwhelmed by the whole thing to be honest. I was looking foward to watching some really attractive football, but I hadn't done my homework on Corinthians.
Apparently they are more of a workmanlike outfit than some of the great Brazilian club teams of the past. Still, fair play, they got their tactics right and always looked like they wanted it more than us. Also, in terms of support, it was almost a home game for them.

What's more of a disappointment to me is that the game told us very little about Chelsea. I can't really think of anything to say about our performance, either as a team or individually.
