More like nearly every Chelsea fan in the world will have him back in a heartbeat and the odd few won't.

Of course the majority will want him back. He's the best manager we ever had and the best manager out there, his time here ended FAR too soon.

I know I would love to see him back and I am not a full blown Chelsea supporter. I miss the fun he gave to English football. I also think that Chelsea lost a but of sparkle when he left.

I don't think we have been the same since. Even when we won the double under Ancelotti things weren't great.

As a rival i'd definitely fear him, but maybe that air of invincibility has worn away somewhat.

Indeed. That summer is where our 'reboot' should have begun.

I am in two mind about him really, as it does look like that he has aged soooo much in such a short period of time in charge of Real, (his hair is almost white now! ), which could lead him to a point of total burnout.
Now that could happen, or on the other hand, his period at Real could motivate him to achieve what he couldn't manage there, at his next employers.

It is hard to say which I think will happen though.

Yossi Benayoun and Ramires arriving is hardly rebuilding the team.

No it didn't. We signed Ramires and Benayoun, with Cole, Ballack, Carvalho and Deco all leaving. 2 in, 4 out....not exactly a great summer.

We went into the season with 3 CB's and 6 midfielders (plus Zhirkov, who was always injured).

Absence makes the heart grow fonder, and that's definately the case with Jose.

Have people forgot how pragmatic, functional, predictable and dull Chelsea were becoming under him?
How too many times it was 1-0 up and game over.
The away suuport was often poor for a team that was that successful. Now it's way better.
The 28,000 who turned up for a CL game.

We might not have anywhere near the consistency and steel we had under Jose, but for sheer unpredictability, crazy, bonkers, up and down, non stop fun, dissapointment, success and controversy, you can't beat what we've had since he left!

Jose was great at the time, but its like going back to an ex girlfriend. You remember the good times but soon realise why you broke up in the first place.

The years have not been kind to Jose either, his looks have faded, he has seen other people but his last relationship ended very bitterly. Yes he would be fantastic to revisit for a dirty weekend in Rhyl, but nothing long term can come from it.

We would be better to Marry the uglier but more dependable Moyes. He at least would have your tea on the table.

Boy could we do with " one nil up game over" now.

codeblue: You sound like someone looking forward to retirement.
Outside playing Bowls, instead of being inside the club knocking back pints and playing pool.

In a way, David Moyes is even more anti-Chelsea than Rafa.
So ultra safe and ultra dull that he's hardly worth talking about.
After all we've gone through, is that what you really want?

I've said it many times, we already have the next anager at the club, and that is Sir Frank.
It makes sense on every level for me!

No, Jose would still be better in bed. He's a dirty old bitch who knows all the tricks. I can live without Moyes' boring old Scotch broth every night. Getting Jose on the rebound would be great, he'll be gagging for it..success that is.

I would pick Jose's so called boring winning team any day, i didn't find us boring at all. I couldn't care less how boring people think we are, the results is all i care about. Under Mourinho we were feared, since he left we have become weaker and weaker.

And why was that ? because our owner was too stubborn to let Mourinho get on with his job, that's why.

I think he is a better manager now then he was when he was with us. Real Madrid were on the slide before he arrived, constantly getting knocked out of the Champions League at the last 16 stage and losing title after title to Barcelona. Last season he stopped that, beating that Barcelona team to the title was a fantastic achievement, and to me his greatest yet. Things may not be going well right now but if he wins that Champions League with them, Real Madrid and it's ( dumb ) fans will soon regret wanting him out in favour of the clown at our club right now.

There are some very weird opinions being aired in here lately....

DSWNSM: Thankfully, there many people in the game who think there is more to football than grinding out 1 -0 wins, and our owner is one of them.

Utd and Fergie want to win as much as anyone, but they like to try and entertain along the way as well.
Wenger does the same.
Spurs, West Ham, the Liverpool under Dalglish first time around, and Keegan's wonderful Newcastle team, plus many others over the years.

The main thing about football is winning, how you do that shouldn't matter, unless you cheat of course. It's not like we were grinding out 1-0 wins all the time, and i would never consider winning boring. I find us boring right now though. For a start i'm bored with all the constant mistakes the club are making .

Wenger is going for the football matters more than winning thing and it's failing miserably. The Arsenal fans are sick and tired with the way they are right now, we will end up like that if we carry on like this.

You say our owner see's playing so called good football the best way forward............well why did he hire Benitez then ?
