Incorrect.

We all know what JT said, it was the context that was in doubt.

Its hard to doubt a punch in the face, caught on cctv. How you get away with THAT in court i will never know.

Maybe you should read about it then. It was the context that saw Steven Gerrard cleared.

The context that he was a millionaire celebrity?

Nope. The context that could have cleared anyone in the same circumstances who chose to plead not guilty and take it to court.

However this has no relevance to the chelsea thread, maybe you will read up on it before you misuse your "facts" next time. I doubt it but we can hope.

Great first half for Oscar, best player on the pitch in my opinion.

Yes, and I don't think that day will be long coming.
He's such an intelligent player, and he makes everything look so easy.

Wilshere and Walcott have looked good tonight. Arsenal fans should be pleased.

Goal for Lampard, well done Frank.

To anyone who used to stand in the Shed,

Imagine someone telling you one day you would be watching an England Brazil game which contained six Chelsea players three of whom are on the Brazilian side

There are rumours that you are about to offer the classy Lampard a new 1 year deal good move if true.

It is a difficult one, the problem is that the media has deliberately chosen to use one data point in the argument for offering frank a new contract. It is fair to assume that most CFC fans think him a legend, and possibly our best player ever. However, the contract offered has to suit both the employee and the business.

Should franks reported salary of £175,000 a week be reduced?

What is the length of contract being offered?

Behind the scenes, how much is frank (and the old guard) responsible for the sacking of managers?

How long can he keep competing at the same level?

Would the salary and position be best offered to a player we can keep for the next ten years?

Obviously we can only know the answer to some of the above questions and speculate.

If say, frank is a model professional behind the scenes, is willing to take a 1 year contract on say £75,000 a week (the same as walcott at arsenal) then perhaps it would be a good deal for CFC.

Anything else, then the club are perfectly within their rights to shake his hand and say thank you and goodbye.

lol no chance!

Frank would be great for United though. It would absolutely sicken me, and i dont think Frank would do that.

With Frank you have got to take the off pitch advatages he offers as well as the on the field ones.

At Chelsea we are still trying to build a strong world wide brand (Champions League helped but we still along way to go).

We have very few if any modern day "legends" to help, Utd have Scholes,Giggs etc. Lamps is really the only one we can call on, JT and Ash if we like it or not have to much baggage. We have a our greatest ever goal scorer on our books, Someone who according to the ladies is quite good looking, One of the most intellengent players in the current game. We have a chance to make a true "Mr Chelsea" brand behind him. That alone will pay his wages if handled in the right way.

Yes Lamps has alot of sway behind the season and would have had some say in some of the manager sackings BUT thats more due to a weak board then a strong dressing room.

Plus we can look at the on-pitch advantages. He keeps himself very fit, Has had very few long term injuries and when he has as always come back fit and raring to go (as seen with his current form after coming back from a injurey).

We need to get him on a year rolling contract. We have a chance of getting some amazing GOOD p.r here for the first time since well good knows when.

We have a chance to have the finest english midfielder for the last few years to end his days at Chelsea, It would be a mistake on par with our one of letting Jimmy Greaves leaving if we did

If we did let him go at the end of the Season and Utd came for him i would personaly think less of him if he turned them down.

One thing i like about his cast-iron will to win and want to win things. Utd are one of the few clubs that have the same mentality. He would be playing for the biggest club in football under one of the greats, While staying in frame for a England place.

Good point.

It would actually make good headlines rather than bad - something we desperately need.

Would you offer JT a new contract next year?

Yes he can still do a job for us plus we dont yet have someone to take the armband off him yet (personally I like the look of Luiz to wear it in a couple of years).

We need a leader in the dressing room (apart from the manager), We have seen how a lack of a leader has cost Arsenal and to some extent City and how important they have been in the past to the top clubs

He is a good candidate, he is Brazil's captain. He seems passionate about winning for CFC. Seems a reasonable person off the field.

I just wish Rafa plays him more in midfield, and hope Barca dont come in with another huge offer in the summer.

I dont see us selling him (unless for silly money), He is too valuble for us to sell at the moment, Age etc.

Not easy to play him in midfield at the moment with the players we have and JT not being fit, If we had another top centre back then yes but we low on numbers so he has been needed in defence. I would expect next season to see him more and more play outside of the defense

A few fans have said that it must mean something if Ramiers has played 25 times for Brazil.
Yes, it means this is the shitiest Brazilian team in a very long time!
