That's really going to the other extreme, he's 41.
He was on the Danny Baker show yesterday, nice guy, I like him.

We only need a decent backup keeper for 2 years.

An old stalwart would be ideal (if not freidel)

Well, that was a big let-down. A couple of chances for Lampard and Oscar, otherwise we didn't create much. It doesn't feel like a cup-tie, Brentford are containing us fairly easily.
Only bright points are Oscar an Luiz. Oscar pulling the strings, he looks real class. Luiz having a fine game in midfield, he looks the ball-winner we have been missing.

Mata is a wonderful player, absolutely wonderful.

Would love a talent like his at our club. He's probably the one most likely to do something when the breakthrough doesn't seem to be coming.

Love David Luiz but he should have got a red card for that assault . Suprised in him as its the type of thing Ivanovic is prone to doing.

Good performance in the end, looked pretty comfortable all game really, which we should expect against League One opposition. Lampard doing more and more to justify another contract, not sure what else he has to do tbh.

It should be a no brainer, but i would make it clear to him: 1. He cant be expecting to continue to be on 150-200k wages a week at 34/35, he should be on half that now(not sure if he will accept this, but tbh what other club in the premier league would match his wages) and 2. he cant expect to be starting every game as he used to be.

Definitely a player we need to keep but only if he accepts the above conditions.

Just came on here to say David Luiz is an absolute piece of garbage. Human scum. 4-0 up and he makes a cowardly, spiteful challenge like that on a player interested only on playing the game for a fraction of what that joke earns.

As a neutral, I completely disagree. I saw nothing in it to warrant such a decision.

lol @ Douglas' defending there....

That'll do. Oscar was great, Ba and Moses were anonymous. Made it through without any injuries

What a massive over-reaction to a fairly innocuous incident.
It was foul, and yes, he knew what he was doing..but it hardly merits comments like that.

It was a coming together, but not as much as the Newcastle player and Demba Ba's face in a previous game.

Both should have been red.

Anyway, a decent performance, another motm performance from Oscar - rapidly becoming my favorite player.

Mata's control just before his goal was tremendous too.

As someone who is happy to put the boot into Chelsea i think that comment is totally out of order.

Oh and Mata is quickly becoming an absolute genius although im sure Chelsea fans will tell me he was all along ().

Not only from the poster you quote but from everyone on the TV and in the studio.

The young man was hurt, collisions happen, he is being passed off as some kid, he seemed to me to get up reasonably quickly, didn't appear as if he passed out, or required resuscitation, or anything serious like that....

Surely the condemnation can be saved for the proper out of order incidents!

Not seen the game, but a big well done. At the end of the day, you can only beat what's put out in front of you and 4-0 is a comprehensive victory as well as a boost of a feel good factor.

Well played.

One of the studio "pundits" was hilarious, as if he could every take the moral high ground against anyone! What a joke.

Did anyone else notice, just before the final whistle, one of the Brentford players actually sat down in the penalty area with the ball trapped between his legs. It became exactly like the infamous "ball boy" incident.

The ball was kicked out from under him. I am waiting for the condemnation of the worlds footballing media, and for people to suggest this was worse than cantona etc, and for the police to get involved.

It will be interesting when Chelsea next go to Swansea, if they do score and particularly if Hazard is involved, the celebration afterwards is an absolute stick on.....

Well done on your win today, lets see what happens now later on in the Cup draw, as to if we play each other or not!

Yes, Luiz basically just ran across him. It was intentional, I don't dispute that. But I don't think it was nasty or malicious, it was just a professional foul, and he wouldn't have expected it to do any damage to the player.

Demba Ba seemed out of sorts today. I would have expected Benitez to bring on Torres, which on today's showing would actually have been justified.
But Rafa continues to confuse me.

We've still got to get past Middlesbrough.
