Not too surprising, expected to see Marin and maybe even Benayoun though. Starting mata seems odd, surely if anyone he needs a rest, as hes a sure starter for the Man City game.

Oh well, should be able to see this through easily enough with that team.

On another note, Athletico Madrid are out which is good news for us. Although there are still strong teams left: Liverpool, Inter Milan, Napoli, Ajax etc. Good thing is that one of Lyon/Spurs and Liverpool/Zenit will be going out which could well open the draw right up for us.

He's probably saving Marin and Benayoun for the City game

That team should be more than enough to see us through. With any luck Mata will get a rest, but I wouldn't bet on it. He'll likely be the 82nd minute sub.

Currently cheering for Tottenham....which feels weird.

Hopefully with any luck, Milan can finish the job and knock the first team out. Best team in europe? Not a chance, IMO Bayern are far more superior to them (this season anyway).

Bit harsh on Barca really, still definitely the team to beat this season. Running away with La Liga and i wouldnt be surprised if they hammered Milan at home. Milan played well yesterday though, good counter attacking football, and Barca had an off day.

When I checked the teams earlier I could swear they had Jiri Jaorisk playing

Idk, I just think Barca has lost a bit of spark this season. Those two statements are mutually exclusive. Milan had a game plan and executed it perfectly, they stifled Barca's game and as a result, they couldn't create any real clear cut chance.

Terrible miss from torres again.

You'd think commentators would know better by now than to get excited when a chance falls to him.

That would have been a sweet goal if Mata pulled that off.

why bring off oscar - regularly our best player!

rafa is nuts. he can only change like for like, never changing formations.

Oscar was poor, but I agree about the like-for-likes subs. So sick of seeing the same formation every game.....predictability is not a good thing in football.

This game is crying out for Lampard. Shame he's been ruled out of this game.
