I actually don't think it matters who is managing Chelsea at this stage - if we are playing two games a week for three months straight with a thin squad we are going to come unstuck against better sides.
The question is are our cup commitments going to jeopardize the league? It's looking more and more likely.”
We were also hammered by Ath Madrid when the players were fresh. A sign of things to come. Changing the manager when you think a thin squad is to blame makes no sense. Both managers are tactically clueless...
that is what I blame for our poor season.
We were missing a few players for a while, but you surely can't deny that Rafa has done a terrible job of using the available players wisely? He tinkers when there is no need, but changes nothing when plan A doesn't work. Many players get no playing time, some players get far too much. His substitutions are unbelievable. His general presence is sucking the life out of the entire club, from the players to the supporters.
Blame the cup commitments if you like, but I feel that's letting the management off too lightly. Players are paid to do more than win 38 league games. It's the managers and the training staffs job to keep them fresh and motivated.
