Ashley was interviewed on This Morning today. You can still see the interview at 1.10pm on ITV+1.

Lovely girl. I don't know why Phillip Schofield persisted with the 'Dec fancies you' questioning, it just embarrasses her.

A big mistake by Ashley going with the title of Yesterday for her new single, lots of folk will assume it's a Beatles cover.

She seems a little awkward talking about Dec's crush and she seemed a little nervous today and on Sunday Brunch. I suppose she's never had this level of attention on her own. She's handleing it brillianty with her natural humour coming through. I hope whether the single does well or not that we see plenty more of her on our screens in the future.

Her promo team need to do more work to promote her better. Going on chat shows and talking about her 'jungle experience' is getting to be pretty boring already. She is not going to get work over here on that alone.

Agree. The single isnt great TBH. Gaga, Beyonce, katy Perry, Rihanna, Adele etc have pretty much got the female solo market sown up so I dont think theres much chance for Ash as that kind of artist anyway. Maybe a dance review or a job as a judge on a talent show would be ideal for her. It would be such a shame of she disappeared after winning over so many fans on I'm a celeb.

She's a singer so a singer is what she'll be. There's always room for new talent, you can't just tell someone to get a new job because Adele and Beyonce are big. If she works hard and gets the right material, she will be completely fine. Your post was patronising towards her. 'I want to be a chef but there's a Gordan Ramsey and Jamie Oliver out there so maybe I'll just become a dinner lady.'

Great to see Ashley again even if the interview was a little bland, and they played the most boring clips from her time in the jungle. The 'Ant fancies you' theme they all keep bringing up is getting rather stale and Ashley seems baffled by it but I guess that they have to have something to talk about. She seems to have enjoyed Chelsea and hopefully they went somewhere where Mark Wright wasn't on the guest list (sorry I'm not a fan).

I remarked about the same thing in another thread. She obviously has no interest in Dec or that t*sser Mark Wright ( i am no fan either) i wish the interviewers would drop that question

I'm a fan and have been since she was in PCD so I didn;t mean my post to be taken like that. I was trying to point out that she achieved worldwide fame in PCD and she cannot expect that level as a solo artist. I'm sure she's well aware of this I was simply making a point. In fact, she's a dancer more than a singer so my suggestion of something in the dance field is where I'm expecting her to land. I just hope we see more of her.

Other female singers will have had the female market before each of the ones listed there came along.

Oops yeah, of course it's Dec who supposedly fancies her, not as I said, Ant. That's how fascinating I find that particular story . Anyway I think it was all a bit of a gag.

As for Mark Wright- I don't know him or much about him and perhaps he's nice enough but he also strikes me as someone who wouldn't be averse to a bit of free publicity. For a while there when she left the jungle I was a bit concerned that Ashley would be featuring in the gossip rags linked to him, but thankfully that hasn't seemed to have happened.

I really liked Ashley from what I saw of her in the jungle, enough for me to check out her song "Yesterday". But it's not very good, I don't see it becoming a hit over here. She needs to get into the studio, work with some great producers and get some great songs out there. She should probably do it fairly quickly too so she doesn't lose the fanbase she got from being on the show.

I don't care for her single but she is a ray of sunshine - just want to see her and hear her speak - her positive energy really cheers me up.

From her web interview it seems she is targeting next year as a big one.

Loved Ashley.

I hadn't seen Phillip Schofield on This Morning for ages - and I must say he came across as a bit of a pr@t.
