Just watched sunday nights final again was rylan drunk when he burst his lip? It seemed to me he was, If he was why wasn't there the same uproar as during the day with chris?

Maybe he wasn't going round calling people a 'c***'?

At this point wasn't pretty much everybody openly drinking on-screen?
It was what they called the after-party and held in what they called the VIP bar where I think they were serving booze to everyone taking part in the xtra factor... I'm guessing it was a lot more acceptable to be drunk there than it is at the rehearsal during the day.
And also I'm not entirely sure I believe the rumoured version of events in regards to Christopher during the day but I think the problem was he was behaving like a nasty drunk I'm sure if Rylan was abusive to the other contestants he'd have been chucked out too...

Or was this on the live show? It's blurred into one now lol.

Still drunk though, if chris did call her that I don't condone it but there must have reasons he did so.

There is a difference between turning up late for work in an unfit state to drinking at the after works do put on by the company.

Rylan knows how to behave in the right environment. Chris looks like a alky!

What about getting drunk exposing your arse and getting thrown out of a hotel for being abusive to staff members?

He was in his own time and was having a bit of a laugh - you know like young people do. No harm done.

That would be an issue between the hotel and said persons, not the work boss. Which would your boss consider was a work problem and a dismissable act?

As the xfactor was live rylan was still at work. same as chris who turned up drunk for work and was punished and rightly so.

If I was working away and I got thrown out of a hotel my company was paying for because I was drunk and abusing hotel staff I think they'd have something to say about it, don't you?

He was asked to leave the hotel, which he did. He returned a week later which was clearly acceptable to the hotel. Meanwhile he and Lucy earned brownie points from X Factor production for grabbing headlines. Neither had/have earned hostility from most of the crew and cast, unlike Christopher Maloney.

They may have temporarily placed you in another hotel as occurred with Rylan. It would surely depend upon how valuable you were regarded by your employers.

Also Rylan did apologize live on the show in case anyone was put out but to be honest I don't think he did too much wrong.

I was under the impression that Rylan and Lucy were in the other hotel until Lucy's 'illness', then Rylan was put into an apartment for the rest of the series (where they filmed the 'stuffing the turkey' VT with Rylan, James, Jahmene and Nicole).

In other words it's one rule for one, and one rule for another. Exactly the point I was making on this thread.

Did he call her that though if someone called me that I wouldn't have needed to ask someone else and why did she ignore him a simple hello would have been ok?

If the X factor had been serving Christopher the booze before rehearsal and then they turned on him I'd agree with you (probably not because if he was being aggressive he still had to go but they would share in the blame & Rylan wasn't being abusive from what we saw).

Almost everyone was drinking as clearly shown on the Xtra Factor where they not only all had drinks but they were offering rounds of shots... Actually I'm sure Dermot normally shows up on that show with a drink in hand and technically his still at work...

The reason being he doesn't know how to behave himself as he has a bad temper and was sore from losing what he thought rightfully his. He was lashing out.

All I have said in this post is purely my speculation.

Being drunk is not an issue in itself. If you get drunk at a work organised night out for contestants and judges or if you get drunk at the after show party, nobody is going to care. Rylan and Lucy got their arses kicked for the hotel incident and had to apologise on TV and were sent somewhere else.

That's unlikely to be as badly received by the producers as if you ignore them and go out on a bender til 4am the night before the grand finale, turn up in an unfit state and proceed to call your colleagues "c*nts" at rehearsals then flounce off home all after a series in which you have cultivated a reputation for being late, unreliable, unpleasant and generally difficult to work with.

What with it being a TV show, it's not hard to see that your behaviour in the studio while working on the show is going to be of more importance than drunken exploits at the hotel.

You are just searching to find something equal but one scenario directly effected work and allegedly being rude to other staff and management while the other wasn't a detriment to the job.

Tulisa accused Gary of smelling like red wine - on the main show. Dermot having one glass of red after is not being drunk however - and Xtra factor is a bit more silly so people can get away with more.

I think that word comes very easy to Christopher. He probably hadn't even realised he'd said it.
